I have been working at Heartland Dental full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Supportive, family like environment with lots of opportunity for growth. If your willing to work hard not just on your technical skills but your leadership, the sky's the limit. I have the pleasure of working with the best of the best and am forever grateful.

    Cons

Although there are cons with everything in life (nothing is perfect) this is by far the best place on earth to be. I am forever grateful to be part of it all.

    Advice to Management

Keep making the necessary changes to keep us growing!!!!!!

I worked at Heartland Dental full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Professional, friendly environment. The doctors get to know you and are very helpful in making sure you know exactly how to do your job properly.

    Cons

No cons; I would work there forever. I wish they had an opening for me, but that's about it! I recommend them for employment and dental work.

I have been working at Heartland Dental full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Offer good benefits, they try to provide work life balance, decent pay, several paid holidays, good vacation plan, offer continuing education

    Cons

They have too many people in charge and information is not always shared well. Yearly increases are minimal at best

I have been working at Heartland Dental full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

All of the equipment is new and updated, and there are many CE opportunities.

    Cons

The appointments are rushed, and I don't get enough time with patients. They focus an awful lot of production and watch the employees numbers closely.

I have been working at Heartland Dental full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You Get to build genuine report with people/ patients. Pay is pretty good- you can make a comfortable living out of it. You have some control on your schedule. Seeing good improvements in people's dental health.

    Cons

Often times your schedule can fall apart, patients no showing. You have to fill your schedule. If you're too busy- that can be a difficult task. You may have to depend on front desk to make calls to fill your schedule and confirm appointments.

    Advice to Management

So far, lately I've had good experiences with management. However, my past self would advise management to not only take up for front desk but the whole clinical staff. What's right is right and what's wrong is wrong.

I worked at Heartland Dental full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There used to be such fun and exciting classes. The psychology and time invested in learning from great leaders helped develop systems to create great experiences for patients.

    Cons

Compensation. Increases at Annual Reviews are next to nothing - not near enough to keep up with inflation. Education has been removed for cost saving purposes and training left to management when barely enough time to onboard people.

    Advice to Management

Pay people for what they're worth. The only reason to leave is because other companies compensate their employees better. If you want to hold on to quality employees that support your mission and vision, offer the market value (or better). 1-3% raises are not enough.
