I worked at Heitman full-time (Less than a year)
Pros
The team I worked with was dynamic and helpful whenever I asked for assistance with something I didn't understand fully. My supervisor gave me every bit of support that I needed while I was in this position.
Cons
Sometimes the hours could be long, but it wasn't anything I didn't expect going into the position.
Advice to Management
Keep up the good work.

Pros
The people at Heitman are energetic, knowledgeable, and happy to lend a helping hand. The office environment was positive, and the learning opportunities are second to none for entry level analysts. Expectations for the job were clear, and management was accommodating and empathetic to the needs of employees if issues arose.
Cons
The hours could be long at times, but it was manageable.

I have been working at Heitman full-time (More than a year)
Pros
1. Great experience with lots of deal flow on several property types
2. Good benefits: healthcare, free snacks, bonus holidays & holiday parties
3. Working alongside relatively intelligent professionals
Cons
1. Compensation is a joke: if you are an entry level employee, you'll get paid the same across departments, whether you work an intense 80-hour week, or a 9-to-5. Management feels little, if any, responsibility or pressure to compete in the marketplace or recognize employees' performance. Incentive compensation, raises, and promotions are of little concern.
2. Forget about having much of a life if you work in an intensive department. Late nights and weekends may be a regular occurrence.
3. No training whatsoever. You show up and begin working. Great for making mistakes and learning from them, but how do you anticipate the things you don't know that are unique to the company's processes?
Advice to Management
Align incentives.
