I worked at Hellenic Telecommunications full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Extraordinary overseeing accomplice and imaginative considering, they regard a paralegal as an equivalent mastermind and some portion of the lawful group. They are no moronic inquiries and Mr. Barkats and Mr. Dauber constantly guided me.

I adapted such a great amount with Mr. Barkats. What's more, we moved toward becoming companions.

    Cons

Previous envious attorney will spread our name. generally insufficient care staff.

    Advice to Management

Continue doing what you doing, company's and customers ennemies dependably wind up lamenting and asking Mr. Barkats for forgivness, it is astonishing.

Mr. Barkats is so associated it is noteworthy

I have been working at Hellenic Telecommunications full-time

    Pros

Good salaries for Deputy Director level and onwards, if you can stand the politics.

    Cons

    Endless:
    - Low ethical standards
    - Low salaries in entry-levels
    - Lack of seriousness in HR
    - Nepotism prevalent in every level of the organization
    - Endless bureaucracy

    Advice to Management

Management doesn't take advice, they are happy with their great salaries (for Greece's standards), and don't give a damn about the rest.

I worked at Hellenic Telecommunications full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Exposure to many different technologies

    Cons

    -Salaries
    -Little to no Benefits
    -Heavy Workload
    -Little opportunities for growth

    Advice to Management

I honestly believe that the Hellenic Telecommunications Organization is one of the rare cases where the lower and middle management actually save the day. Most executives have little to no past in non-executive company roles and few understand the structure they are meant to serve.

So little advice can be giver to senior management. As for everyone else hold tight, you are the reason OTE still tanks any competitors.

I worked at Hellenic Telecommunications full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Typical in their payments and consistent with Greek labor law

    Cons

Low pay (close to minimum wage) for specialized personnel like engineers. High levels of nepotism - almost 0 career opportunities. No alignment of departments and management (low, middle and high) with company strategy. High churn rates on first line personnel are not taken into consideration by management.

    Advice to Management

Drastic changes in middle and top management personnel required. Strategy implementation is not connected to budget. HR policies go against company values and strategy. OTE has a leadership problem and has fallen into believing that it is too big to fail. Common mistake made by most ex-public sector-now private Telcos. Give more value and extrinsic and intrinsic motivation to first line personnel. Do not outsource core business elements. Front line personnel = OTE brand = core business.
