    I worked at Helmerich & Payne full-time

    Pros

Paid holidays, good health insurance and lots of room to move up and get hired in different departments

    Cons

They were too strict about certain things but that might have been because I worked there during the oil crisis so they were imposing rules to be able to fire people instead of laying them off

I worked at Helmerich & Payne full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people are nice, benefits were very good and you got quite a few payed holidays off, no one micro managed in my department so that was also a benefit. Came in did my work went home

    Cons

Moving up unless you have an engineering background or go work in the field for a long time. Also it was the same everyday, and after a while I just zoned out and didn't feel challenged

I have been working at Helmerich & Payne full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I came to this company new to the industry, and have found it to be a great company, Extremely safety oriented. I do recommend this company, if you are new to the industry. My recommendation is put 150% into EVERYTHING you do, take pride in your work, have a good attitude and be willing to learn! It's a rough job and a bad negative attitude wont make the work any easier.

    Cons

It's a fast paced environment to remebering tools and safety procedures in the moment can be overwhelming at times.

I worked at Helmerich & Payne full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay was good. Company benefits were excellent. Employee discounts were average.

    Cons

Not interested in improving any methods. Got to stick to the plan, suggestions for improvements are taken as challenging attacks by incompetent "leaders" Stuart-Finger. Before you know you get fired for the slightest thing.
Lots of snakes in that building, mixed with some good folks as well

    Advice to Management

Talk to the people, especially when suddenly a valued employee is in HR being fired. That would be a good time go ask some questions! One side of story doesn't make it legit, do an investigation!

    Advice to Management

Everyone is an engineer... Listen up. Watch. Pay attention.
