I worked at Hemisphere GPS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Paid government holidays. Nice facility. . Most employees are good people.
Not really any other benefits other than collecting a paycheck.

    Cons

Extremely unorganized. Management rules by fear. The company's products are not of the best quality. .
Constant stress and lots of hours required to get your job done. No appreciation by management for hard work. .

    Advice to Management

Respect your good employees and get rid of the corporate cancer in your facility. .

I worked at Hemisphere GPS full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Small excellent subset group of engineering that is authentic and focussed on the end user and market

    Cons

Good intentions of strategic innovation. However, forever culturally and managed and marketed as a "Fast Follower" company. Yawn. Merely chases competitors successes.

    Advice to Management

Fast follower doesn't cut it. Share price reflects this (now AgJunction vs. Hemisphere). Break out of the Fast Follower business model!!!

    Pros

Good people that unfortunately are living in a bubble

    Cons

Products are 1 to 2 generations behind competitors

    Advice to Management

Should have left Kip Pendleton in place to finish what he started.

I have been working at Hemisphere GPS full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The cross section of employees and their skill sets are very high with high motivation. The capacity to deliver on a vision is consequently very high as well.

    Cons

There is a low connection with the marketplace from a marketing and thus product design perspective. End-user insights are low with the result of a largely 'me-too' vs. competition perspective

    Advice to Management

    Depth of visioning needs improvement.

    Pros

Generally, people are very nice to each other. The benefit package was excellent (not sure about now). Senior management visits different office locations from time to time so you would have a chance for meet and greet.

    Cons

Growth opportunity is limited. Big office politics are involved sometimes. Team building activities are reduced. Sometimes people do not conduct themselves in professional manners.

    Pros

Good work life balance, good people,

    Cons

No real company culture, too many offices working against each other- there is no real company pride among employees

    Advice to Management

Learn to be fair and treat people equally.
