    Pros

Great benefits great vacation time. The benefit package is excellent. That is the only thing keeping employees there.

    Cons

Management favor employees. Unless you are a favorite you do not excel in the company. Raises are very hard to come by.

    Advice to Management

    Treat everyone equal

I worked at Hendrick Automotive Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Solid Company with decent benefits. Many employees (although mostly at a corporate level) stay with the group a long time.

    Cons

Ridiculous hours even by industry standards, Compensation in Upper Management pales in comparison to what any "A Player" is accustomed to. You're either a member of their "club" or you're not.

    Advice to Management

To fill this out would be a total waste of time because even if anyone in the group with any authority read it they wouldn't change a damn thing. They already know everything after all.

I worked at Hendrick Automotive Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Good benefits
    Decent pay
    Cool employees

    Cons

Upper management are sheeps in wolfs clothing. They pretend to care and listen and the moment you stick up for yourself or what is morally right you are turned on and have a target on your back. Tons of harassment going on and nothing is done about it. Micro managing boss. Not a leader one bit. Constantly reminding you of the mistakes you make when he was making the same amount if not more.

Constantly degrading your character and effort of work. Lots of drama and pointing fingers

    Advice to Management

Check your ego's at the door please!!! You have all these employees who bust their hump day in and day out for you.

When multiple employees complain about a manger investigate it and do the right thing. Don't ignore it because you think he's profitable. Or compiles are these stupid excel spreadsheets to think you're saving money

When your managers are constantly micromanaging you,Mistakes will be made because they are feeling the pressure.Treat your employees with respect and get rid of the motto that everyone is replaceable.

Give your employees the space they need to work especially if they are making you money.

    Pros

It isn't Sonic Automotive. The movie Days of Thunder was based on the founder Rick Hendrick.

    Cons

Typical American corporation. Puts quarterly profits above all else.

    Advice to Management

You can't be great if you are like everyone else.

I have been working at Hendrick Automotive Group full-time

    Pros

Free lunch on Saturdays :), brand new facilities, payed holiday, friendly colleagues, new equipment. Very average insurance after 3 months, but you definitely earn this insurance, for the work you have to do and if you want to add family members on the insurance, that will cost you extra 500$ per month

    Cons

Managers really don't have enough experience and come to their positions by accident. Because of lack of experience and knowledge managers try to avoid their direct responsibilities and try to put away the most important decisions.

    Advice to Management

    Hire experienced and brave managers

I have been working at Hendrick Automotive Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The insurance and benefits are good, facilities are nice

    Cons

I have been here for 4 years and made less money each year even after being "promoted." The pay plans are designed to punish instead of reward, no one in the dealership is happy, negativity is rampant and the bosses upstairs are getting all of the money. They tried to introduce a new pay plan in the last year that would pay "more money" and be easier and the whole sales floor rejected it because they all made less. They tout that we are one of the top dealerships in the country, yet we get paid like we are 80th. At events around the country,we hear other salesmen make way more than we do with a lot less stress. The job used to be fun but now no one is having fun. Every day there are more rules, more pay restrictions, and more pressure from upper management. They act like they can't understand why sales are down, morale is down, finance is wanting to quit... pay us more, appreciate us more, make it more fun and then you'll get the results you want. Right now if you get one bad survey, your month is over, bonuses gone. The pay plan is even set up so that it occasionally makes sense to NOT sell a car at month end. The whole sales floor and finance are constantly looking for ways to get out.

    Advice to Management

Wake up and pay your people! Appreciate what we do and the hours that we work. If someone gets a promotion, they should be making more money! Treat us like people, not puppets. Sales should be making 25-35% commission after pack without 27 different rules to cut out all bonuses. Finance should have a salary component and be making 10k/mo at a minimum for all the hours and ridiculous amount of paperwork and compliance rules they have to deal with.

    Pros

    Great training. Monthly cash competitions.

    Cons

Pay cuts, rules constantly changing, no consistency between mangers. No opportunities to grow.

    Advice to Management

Don't cut pay for people who are performing at the top. Don't lie and say there are tons of ways to grow in the company when there is not. Management communicate and don't be so caddy. Let employees decorate desk, have music, and have fun. Call centers are stressful and managers constantly yelling adds stress.

    Pros

Some cool people to work with. Decent money.

    Cons

Terrible management. (Haven't really found a identity how to treat employees) Always new rules being implimented (You never really know what to expect when you walk into work each day) Really mentally exhausting. Treat you like 5th graders. Hours are brutal. Go ahead and say goodbye to family and friends. Pay planned changes twice while employeed with Hendrick. I could go on but you get the point.

    Advice to Management

    hahahahahahaha
