    Pros

It was a big company which was the premier leader in the field of adhesives. Also, had so many opportunities for advancement, and also emphasized environmentally friendly technologies.

overall, i was happy witht he whole experience and would look forward to the chance to come back to work there after graduation

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good leadership.

    Pros

High visibility within organization, work on many cross-functional teams, ability to grow in role and also move up in the organization. Close knit team of 30 engineers, managers, and lab personnel create a competitive but also relaxed culture. If you have any issues, everyone is willing to help and there are plenty of mentor opportunities. Good networking opportunity as you interact with customers small and large on a daily basis (conference calls, site visits, training sessions). You learn a lot of skills and go through a lot of very good structured training. The training is better than that of the university as they keep it short, to the point, and include plenty of practice and feedback.

    Cons

Travel can become >50% if you are not careful with managing it. Expectations are higher in this department than elsewhere at Henkel.

    Advice to Management

Change is good on the 2-3 year horizon, constant direction changes annually become distracting and negatively affect employee morale.

I have been working at Henkel full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Strong support from leadership, lots of growth opportunities. Henkel is family oriented, adn supportive and flexible in regards to work/life balance. One of the few companies that still offer competitive bonus opportunities.

    Cons

German company, management seems to take all direction from Corporate headquarters.Little input requested from the regions. To really grow in the company, you must do a job rotation in Germany, and there are limited options to do so. For them to come here seems much easier.

I worked at Henkel full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Loved working there. I was given a chance as a receptionist and had no prior experience as a receptionist. I enjoyed my 4 years with S&H. The skills I have learned have prepared me for other jobs. I am really sorry that I was unable to relocate with the company when they relocated from Irvine to Culver City. They provided training and experience.

    Cons

    I can't think of anything.

    Advice to Management

    None

I worked at Henkel full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Opportunities for career growth. Benefits and host of other corporate perks. Responsibilities are isolated allowing you to gain expertise in a specific field. Large company with a lot of resources allow your business unit to remain competitive, in turn offering stability.
Excellent execution at all levels of organization. Very challenging goals and responsibilities provide meaningful employment.

I helped a friend get a job here and encouraged many of my other friends to apply.

    Cons

Sometimes feels like its too big and communicating with other business units is challenging. Company promotes the produces but there is a need to be somewhat 'political'.

    Advice to Management

Cut the bureaucracy and execute faster.
