    Pros

    Ive worked at other systems this is the best they really do want to provide the best care and appreciate all who work there. People are friendly and they work as a team Money is competitive

    Cons

    Working home care, there are inherent challenges that are obvious. Difficult to get time off during prime time

    Pros

    - Excellent co-workers - Advanced medical services - Organization provides care to all in need

    Cons

    - Parking is a disorganized fiasco from far-away lots and rickety structure to unpredictable shuttle service. Adds at least an hour (of unpaid time) to the work day. No grace period to time management system which is used as the primary means of staff discipline. - Micromanagement. Zero input from employees tolerated. Employees are treated like pawns on a chess board. - Rapid-fire employee turnover and no recognition of those who stick it out.

    I worked at Henry Ford Health System full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Flexible work schedule and the atmosphere throughout the hospital is warm and friendly. After completing one year in your new position, it is easy to acquire other positions throughout the hospital.

    Cons

    The salary is not compatible with other institutions. Parking for employees at the Detroit site may hinder one from reporting on time due to employees required to take a shuttle to work. There is always a long line of people. The wait time can not be calculated. Employees get docked and written up due to unreliable transportation services.

    I worked at Henry Ford Health System full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    The quality of care by the people in the field was excellent most of the time which is important to me. I wanted to be a part of an excellent team and did receive excellent training.

    Cons

    For over 15 years there have been unresolved complaints against certain managers. Due to the longevity of managerial relationships, in some cases going on 30 years together, the managerial relationships have collapsed into friendships resulting in the loss of accountability and responsibility at the managerial and upper management levels. Thus complaints against managers for many many years were covered up and the whistle blowers suffered the consequence. This does not appear to be system wide but only an issue within the Hospice unit at HFHS.
