    Inexperienced Management
    Politics

    Advice to Management

The leadership team needs to strike more of a balance between efficiency and effectiveness. There is too much emphasis on tactical planning and not enough of strategic/ long term planning. Poor morale will continue to impact the company , especially the SC department. Turn over is rampant, and can be avoided.

I worked at Henry Schein full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Being able to get time off the phone volunteering at the dental clinic on site WHEN they allowed you. It was wonderful connecting with people in need and being able to help / give back.

    Cons

    • Micro management, •people with zero hygiene (wouldn’t shower or wash their hands from bathroom & very nasty bathrooms), •hostile work environment after all. •The moment you’d get up to make coffee they told you you couldn’t, •when you’d try and take your breaks they would come find you and make you get on the phones again, •couldn’t even get to use my PTO for doctors appointments as it never got approved, •they won’t let you move departments if you’re the one brining the teams stats up, •no opportunities to advance, •they add additional products to your skill set with no additional compensation. •management favors their friends for time off the phone etc • 95% of the employees are rude and unhappy. •HR doesn’t care and will not work with you.

    Advice to Management

Bring back the old management style - the one you had a few years ago where you cared about your people, the one that’s similar to Enterprise. Treat your employees like humans. Help them advance, and don’t make it harder to move up. Treat everyone equally. Allow Dr. notes. Increase the pay with every product supported.
