    Pros

Company is growing steadily by expanding international presence and is in good industry. Management is relatively easy to access. Generally good culture to increase team awareness

    Cons

Depend on which function, work life balance can be challenging. Lower end on the industry compensation. Bureaucracy can sometimes get in the way.

    Advice to Management

Provide more opportunities for employees career development internally. Drive better accountability and communicate strategy and vision better within organization

    Pros

Good pay, good management, well positioned to continue growth and success. FSC has a lot of autonomy. Rewarding job. You have control of your schedule.

    Cons

I don't have much negative to say, but I'm encouraged to write 20 words of negative commentary. I guess I would say that it's still a job and you're not on vacation all day long.

I worked at Henry Schein full-time

    Pros

Their benefits package is excellent. Very good health, vision, and dental coverage. There is even the option of legal assistance if you want it. For the most part the employees are a diverse and outgoing group of individuals.

    Cons

People in the trenches (support) are frequently treated like the bottom rung. The opportunities for advancement are slim and the company will prioritize internal hires based on time rather than experience. Also new positions are generally filled from inside even if the person is not as qualified. This can cause problems when people are in positions of development or decision making and are not necessarily the most suited for such jobs.

    Advice to Management

Don't be afraid to hire people who are from the outside. Skilled people can come from all over the place, both internally and externally. Also advance people based on merit, not piety.

I have been working at Henry Schein full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great culture
    Great benefits
    Very helpful colleagues
    Good training programs
The company does a great job at supporting the field managers.

    Cons

Pay is not as competitive for this position as it should be. Ops Mgrs in most industries make significantly more money than the ROM position does with Henry Schein.

    Advice to Management

Look at pay structure for the ROM position and compare to other Ops Mgr positions around the country. Everyone always says how vital that Field Operations is, but the pay doesn't reflect this sentiment.

    Pros

Henry Schein offers great benefits, has a great matching program 401K etc. They really try and take care of their employees.

    Cons

OLD way of thinking. They are slow to embrace change. There is not much room for salary growth. If you are going to move up here, you need to commit your life to this job.

    Advice to Management

Make this more attractive to millennials.

    Pros

Fortune 500 company, good dental benefits, 401K company matches 7 percents, good system and support, number one in the market
