I worked at Henry Schein full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Outstanding culture, team oriented, structured training, and company wide events that foster a community. Truly a great place to start your career and if you are lucky enough to advance it would be a great place to stay. Management is very reachable and they stand up for their employees. Aside from this, Schein's customer service rises above many other organizations. Happy employees make for happy sales people and this is something they have down.

    Cons

Pay is a bit low. Hard to advance as a younger employee. Left the company due to a lack of growth. It is a bit of a go-around when applying to positions as an internal candidate. Lacking career workshops and advancement opportunities.

I have been working at Henry Schein full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great people work for this company (sales reps). But then again, sales people typically have FANTASTIC personalities...outgoing, fun loving people. Great benefits.

    Cons

Management is always looking, from year to year, how to pay you less, and increase your sales quotas! VERY STRESSFUL ENVIRONMENT....to the point that one feels as though they are one day away from a complete breakdown. You will never feel secure with you job. #HighStress Long days...not an 8-5 position.

    Advice to Management

Be more appreciative of your employees and quit trying to figure out ways to reduce their pay and keep more for corporate. A lot of unethical things occur on the upper management side in Wisconsin. New York needs to keep a closer eye on the politics within the dental organization. Tamper down the collusion in the dental industry, as well.

I have been working at Henry Schein full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There are not many pros of working here. The only thing would be they leave you alone and do not bother you.

    Cons

They do not care about your experience, it is all about who you know. They know they can replace you in an instant and do not care about each person as an individual. Poor communication. Lack of respect from management.

    Advice to Management

Management should communicate properly to employees and do not make promises they cannot keep.

I have been working at Henry Schein full-time

    Pros

If you have 2 incomes, this is a great job. Offers insurance. Convenient location

    Cons

Very hard to get established clinics because territory managers take clinics away and give them to other sales people with no real explanation. Totally paid on commission ISRs pay their own salary plus freight for orders shipped to clinics.
