I worked at Henry Schein full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some of the people are nice.

    Cons

Too many to list in this space...seriously! If I could rate a negative 5 stars, I would.

    Advice to Management

The culture that you claim to be so spectacular, is actually NOT!

I have been working at Henry Schein full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great Benefits, Well Maintained Buildings, Buildings seem secure and safe

    Cons

No professional development, HR department seems to lack knowledge of policies, No room for advancement or growth, upper management tends to promote themselves while forgetting the little guys, very hard to move to another department

    Advice to Management

Do not forget the youthful employees are the future of the company, need to develop more ways to grow within the company, don't forget the smaller positions that help run departments. I have seen plenty of young people come and leave within less than a year.

I worked at Henry Schein full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

PTO (sick vaca personal inclusive), takes 10 years to get 30 days paid...neutral about this. Location is great. Random parties throughout the year. Keurig machines? Cool. Free caf/decaf tea lol that's about it!

    Cons

As stated above PTO is odd. Accrued throughout the year. Compensation is at a national low here. Mid level employees do the heaviest lifting for 10k more than low level. Staying with comp, supervisor/managerial positions in proportion can't survive on the island, additional part time work is advised.

    Advice to Management

Millennials are the future, be weary not to deter their advancement or they will go elsewhere.

I worked at Henry Schein full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are a lot of wonderful people who work there. I've definitely developed great relationships with kind people. The company itself, does a lot of parties and events for their employees and that is definitely nice, but I'd prefer to have been paid more and respected more. The benefits are decent, and I'd say there is fair PTO time.

    Cons

The particular department that I was in, was pretty horrible. The director and SOME of the managers made no effort to care for their employees needs. It means a lot when employees are leaving one after the other to move on to other opportunities. That should tell the department and/or company that there is something terribly wrong. I also know other departments are this way as well. I cannot believe how incredibly cliquey and micromanaged the entire company is, and especially the department I was in. Since it is such a large company, people's opinions don't seem to matter.

    Advice to Management

It could be a nice place to work, if management would care about their employees more and realize that they are unhappy and ask what they need.

    Pros

None that I can think of. Get experience here and get out....FAST!

    Cons

Inbred management. The company grew too fast and everyone got promoted WAY over their head.
HR is a joke. Management can flat out lie about you and get away with it. No investigation for the real facts.
Everybody in management (including marketing and sales) is a CPA or JD. Huh?
These guys are a Fortune 300 company in spite of themselves.

    Advice to Management

Retire. Quit. Remember who DOES THE WORK while you jet around the world.

    Cons

Nasty people. Watch your back. Management is insecure. Treats staff like dirt. No one knows how to cross-train. It's a shame as the company has a good reputation in name only.

    Advice to Management

Your day will come when the company will get wind of what you are up to. What goes around comes around.
