I have been working at Henry Schein full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The people! The culture! Management goes all out to work with you should a personal situation arise where you need to work a flexible schedule, need time off. Family comes first. They know what they are doing! A happy employee is less stressed, more loyal and apt to be more productive and do a better job. Benefits are good too!

    Cons

    Nothing really to complain about.

    Advice to Management

I have worked for other companies where policy is black and white or written in stone. Continue to be a company that is willing to work with their employees.

I have been working at Henry Schein full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Affordable benefits, decent salary, and an unheard of amount of vacation time and PTO. They also follow the rule book, when it comes to H.R. and employee well being.

    Cons

Archaic DOS computer system. Limited opportunities, in moving higher up within the company. Due to management not leaving or retiring.

401k with 7% matching but you have to work 5 years to be fully vested. Less than $100 per month for the high deductible health insurance plan plus they contribute $1,200 per year to a HSA. They offer $2,400 per year tuition reimbursement if you are salary. Start off with four weeks vacation and after ten years six weeks.

    Cons

Sometimes you get stuck doing things that are boring which makes it hard to enjoy work.

I have been working at Henry Schein full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The culture is very positive, and the company has a long history of success. Work/life balance is important to upper management, which leads to good flexibility and generous PTO

    Cons

While career advancement opportunities are in place on paper, you definitely need to be a very squeaky wheel to actually receive promotions or advancement. The benefits package has also steadily been declining over the years.
