    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Team members were helpful and lovely. It's OK for anybody who wants to do very little and get a regular salary for it.

    Cons

Shambolic! Mostly unprofessional staff who would not last a day outside the Civil Service. Some middle managers have such outdated views/practices, belongs to the 19th Century. Too much dead wood (in the middle management).

    Advice to Management

Just don't throw 'corporate jargon' back and forth. More action less buzz words please.

    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The job is stable, steady paced and comfortable in general. Flexi time in most departments, although this can be abused by senior management to harass staff

    Cons

Many progression opportunities are passed over by management. Senior management place more importance on their own teams stats rather than developing their people. Any promotion opportunities are generally "job's for the boys" due to a competency system which makes it obvious who the supposedly "anonymised" applicant is.

    Advice to Management

Greater forward thinking and dynamism required.
