I have been working at Herald Maritime Services as a contractor (More than 10 years)
Considers freshers and caters to their advancement. Been in the market for a very long time so it's not going to pack up and leave anytime, like some new establishments have done in the recent past. HMS has seen the good and the bad, been through three market cycles, still standing strong. They shall cater to the needs of their employes within reason.
Typical management company cons. Every engagement is unique. No extra perks or privileges. Salary delayed sometimes but always delivered. Less number of ships.
Advice to Management
Appease and prefer the old hands, they've been with you for very long. Consider not giving a one up to a new employee at the expense of your old hand's benefits.
Greater importance is given to freshers and there learning.
