I have been working at Herbalife full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

What do I like the most here... Hmmm, well for starters the fact that once you join you're not joining a new company, but a fully grown and globally established organization which means most people you approach are already familiar with the brand. If you ever worked as an independant distributor you know what this means. It's an advantage in every way.

Other things that make Herbalife worthwile are their products, you're promoting a healthy lifestyle, so it's an incredibly easy sell if you know what you're doing. Apart from that, the training and advice I got at first was very well structured, and is actually perfect for beginners. I did this before so there wasn't much use in it for me expect some basic groundrules/best-case practices you need to go through, but if you're a beginner, you're going to learn everything you need to get started.

    Cons

I mentioned Herbalife being a global brand and how good this can be. Sadly, and like any other global brand, there's always going to be someone that dislikes the brand for whatever reason, and these people are a hard sell, in which case this sort of brand awareness isn't that good, and you end up wasting your time. However, the ratio for me was far more sided to people who had a positive prejudice outlook on the brand, compared to those that had a negative one. I've been doing this for 9 months, and don't plan to stop anytime soon, that alone should tell you enough.

    Advice to Management

Think it'd be good if Herbalife invested more in product awareness marketing. Let the general population realize your products are actually good for them.

I have been working at Herbalife part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I LOVE being a distributor for herbalife! My family and I were initially clients and got great results losing weight and improving our lifestyle. When we decided to do the business we worked it around our full time jobs a social worker. I firmly believe the healthier people are the happier they are and I love helping people be their best self both inside and out!

    Cons

You will not see results in your business as a distributor if you do not dedicate the time and work. This is will not happen by chance, you have to make consistent effort and continue to develop your skills.

I have been working at Herbalife full-time

    Pros

    Decent pay and good atmosphere.

    Cons

Headquarters are located downtown LA which is awful. Additionally your moral compass has to be in the correct alignment to work for a borderline pyramid scheme.

I have been working at Herbalife full-time

    Pros

The non-back stabbing people are really nice.

    Cons

Upper Management lacks basic leadership, business and marketing skills. Im shocked they've lasted as long as they have. Status quo rules. its not what you know or how hard you work but rather who you suck up too. HR is there to protect company not employees.

    Advice to Management

None. You know exactly what you are doing and are ok with it all.

I have been working at Herbalife full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people here are INCREDIBLY nice and the focus on nutrition and fitness has been fantastic. I've lost 80 pounds since working here.

    Cons

Because it's an international company, it can get a bit 24-7. Also, sometimes I feel like everything is a crisis.

    Advice to Management

Make sure to distinguish between truly urgent and non-urgent tasks.

I have been working at Herbalife full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Most people are really kind and super friendly in general. I know not all departments have it but work from home flexibility is good. Decent pay and benefits. Cafe in the Torrance office is good. On site gym is small but not bad. My department has good work life balance.

    Cons

Now as far as the working environment, it is highly dysfunctional and disconnected. Poor leadership in middle management. As nice as some of them are, there are far too many of them that are completely clueless. Many business processes are behind the times. Each day is a lesson in futility but hey people like the products. It is not a place for the youth, career growth, or staying up with industry standards (at least not in the functional business areas).

    Advice to Management

None, they don't take advice internally so I am sure they aren't checking here. I take that back, they will take your advice but then do absolutely nothing with it.
