I have been working at Herbalife part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Make your own schedule. Discount on products are good. Meet nice people

    Cons

Not enough schooling on how to really work Herbalife. Sponsors are self centered and it's all about the numbers not the people! Expensive to keep up with.

    Advice to Management

Start actual trainings that teach new comers how to work this business not by having people on a stage telling us what they've done.

I worked at Herbalife full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Corporate leadership at the company is very forward thinking and open to ideas. Company with great potential for growth. In spite of great odds, the company has posted impressive performance. Great communication all over from top leadership to the entire workforce. Incredibly helpful and prompt human resources team.

    Cons

The absence of leadership in IS. There are only 3-4 people who have any say in anything. To say the focus is narrow would be an understatement. Too many fragmented systems which break down every now and then. This seems to just go the other direction, creating nightmare for the support teams maintaining them. Rather than think IS Strategy sensibly, the leadership is mired in discussing individual defects pretending to know each procedure and function in depth. The meetings are endless, and you end up with catching up to work at the end of the day. If senior leaders analyze the defects, you imagine what would the analysts have to do. You can only imagine the trust in managers and analysts would only be low. Why would you work where opinions are not respected, and you are only given orders to march a specific way.

There is a lot that the IT can do to play a strategic partner with the business. The fill whats empty, empty whats full; and scratch where it itches 'strategy' should stop, if they need to make significant strides in building this relationship.

    Advice to Management

Lead from the front and articulate a clear strategy. Do not get bogged down in the daily defect resolution. Listen to and respect your team members and their time; who actually work on the technology and can provide useful inputs. Empower your line managers to take decisions and support them even if the things did not go exactly the same way you had in mind. It only creates a vitiating work day if credit is not given, but the blame is duly passed.

I have been working at Herbalife full-time

    Pros

Great products. Company has a mission to make people's lives better and really does operate to achieve its mission. Most people are team oriented, talented and work towards common interests. Company makes products available to employees. On site gyms and wellness counselors. Pay tends to be very competitive. Great opportunity to work in an international company.

    Cons

Very limited leadership development. Mid0level managers need training on how to be managers. Cliques exist at senior levels and if you aren't in the clique, it is extremely difficult to advance to the most senior levels.

    Advice to Management

Have leadership development programs and make opportunities accessible to all.

    Pros

    Occasional work from home.
    SOME really great people.

    Cons

Mngmt only concerned with how it makes them look & who can/will "take one" for them so they can look good.

    Advice to Management

Take your finger out of your nose. Get up off your knees & treat employees like talent. No one likes the sound of your voice like you do. Be responsible and quit laying blame on others.
Enough with the nonsensical busy work (MBO's=JOKE)!!!

I worked at Herbalife part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

No quotas. No ceiling on earning potential. Good mentorship. Make lots of friends. You get out what you put in. The products work really well.

    Cons

Sometimes income is not stable in the beginning. Products aren't totally natural, but they work. You have to be willing to work hard sometimes without earning anything.. It's no 9-5. You get out what you put it, that can be a pro or con, depends what you put in.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your team like family.
