I worked at Herbalife (More than a year)

    Pros

You have full control over how much time and effort you put into your work. The products come at a cheaper cost as a member and they actually work if you stick to the plan. The pay is pretty descent if you are able to build your clientele

    Cons

Because it is so independently ran, you must find the drive, clientele, and motivation to build up your business and make the money you really want to.

I worked at Herbalife part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    fun
    surrounded by positivity
learn to do personal development/constantly working on bettering yourself
you meet a lot of people from all around the world and make a lot of friends

    Cons

    income varies
    inconsistent
    highs and lows with sales
you spend a lot of money between all the trainings, traveling, hotels
people often "buy" their way to hitting cuts
new changes in the marketing plan make it harder to advance
there is nothing to protect you as a coach if people decide to refund their products, you're just out of the money

    Advice to Management

offer benefits for those who have been doing the business for at least a year... whether thats health insurance, 401K, etc. There's not enough incentive for people to do this full time as a career.

I worked at Herbalife full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Better than average salary, benefits package, quick and easy raises/promotion opportunities, top of the line equipment to do your work from, in-house gym, cool location at LA Live. Also, you get to go home on time pretty much every day!

    Cons

Getting an overall sleazy vibe from the company and the way it does business through its distribution model...there's a reason so many people call it a scam (and I worked in corporate!) My larger concern, however, was that I had zero faith in my manager's competence...I am 99% convinced I was hired to do the work my manager was supposed to be doing so they could pass it off as their own. Let's say you were...I don't know, a chicken farmer. And your boss was also a chicken farmer. Except your boss actually knew nothing about chickens, or farming, but was in a Director role. You get the idea...

    Advice to Management

Don't leave your employees to their own devices all the time...make sure they have a clear idea of what to do at any given time! (Also, there should be some kind of general competence test for managers...not just the mandatory online training that happens every year.)
