I have been working at Herbalife full-time

    Pros

Great products. Company has a mission to make people's lives better and really does operate to achieve its mission. Most people are team oriented, talented and work towards common interests. Company makes products available to employees. On site gyms and wellness counselors. Pay tends to be very competitive. Great opportunity to work in an international company.

    Cons

Very limited leadership development. Mid0level managers need training on how to be managers. Cliques exist at senior levels and if you aren't in the clique, it is extremely difficult to advance to the most senior levels.

    Advice to Management

Have leadership development programs and make opportunities accessible to all.

I have been working at Herbalife (More than 5 years)

    Pros

It is what you make of it - you are not an employee, but rather self-employed (according to the IRS). Provides very flexible work and hours, if that is what you are looking for -- again, the decisions of what you want and how you are going to run things is up to the individual.

The company does provide tremendous support and tools to help you grow your business, however. The regional and monthly trainings that are put on by the company (quarterly) or other members/distributors (monthly) are VERY good. They have great sales training info that you can pay big $$$ to go to a conference with a big shot and learn the same strategies. Take advantage of this.

This company does offer unlimited growth potential, if you go for it and seize it. However, you aren't going to grow unless if you take the initiative of becoming better [at this position, not life in general, necessarily].

    Cons

It is what you make of it? No handouts when you become a business owner

    Advice to Management

Keep providing us with new tools and special promotions

I have been working at Herbalife full-time

    Pros

Very warm, supportive environment. People care about the company and try really hard to do what they think is the right thing for the company. Imagine a company where ethical behavior is consistently practiced and that is Herbalife. Servant leadership is practiced and expected. The products are amazing and employees are given great product perks. If you are into wellness and nutrition, it would be hard to imagine a better company to work for. Truly look forward to coming to work every day.

    Cons

Cost to employee of health benefits is higher than one would expect for the company's size. The company is quite behind from a technology standpoint, causing lots of wasted time and over time dissatisfaction within the HR dept.

    Advice to Management

Please continue to fiercely protect the culture as you have. Give employees the tools they need to do their best.

I have been working at Herbalife full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Longevity if you want it. I've been in IT for nearly 20 years and this is the only place where i haven't been looking over my shoulder for HR coming to tell me I was downsized or outsourced.

Upward mobility if you take initiative and show your value.

Lots of perks. They really care about their employees.

Oh yah, 3 weeks of vacaction right off the bat!

    Cons

Like any company, there is a dearth of quality leadership. There are some micro-managers and those always sucking up rather than doing actual work, but less here than many places I've been.
    Lack of diversity in IT.

    Advice to Management

Reward your top performers, cut your bottom performers or at least give a development program to bring them up.

Now that all the major projects are wrapped up (R12 upgrade/Lemonade/MCS). Give your IS teams time to rebuild and focus on team organizational management and process improvements.

So many things have been on hold for so long, those types of things have suffered.

Listen to your visionary leaders and quiet those "naysayers" who always shoot down good ideas but never offer any of their own.

    Always be innovating...
