I have been working at Herbert Rowland & Grubic full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Keeping me busy and constantly working on multiple projects. Great balance of office and field work that I feel is needed as young engineer.

    Cons

I personally don't have anything to complain about. Great co-workers and everyone offers their assistance/experiences. Could maybe have a better 401k plan (matching).

    Advice to Management

Keep exposing young engineers to RPR work.

I have been working at Herbert Rowland & Grubic full-time

    Pros

Good relationships with coworkers and flexible schedule.

    Cons

Overworked, underpaid, expected to put in unpaid overtime, tight budgets, quick turnarounds.

I worked at Herbert Rowland & Grubic full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Coworkers are cool, utilization isnt as high as previous employer, ESOP, and decent pay and benefits.

    Cons

Management is too top heavy, feast or famine type of work, PTO is on the low side, layoffs are unfortunate but the severance packages are a joke.

    Advice to Management

Work to live, don't live to work

I worked at Herbert Rowland & Grubic full-time

    Pros

ESOP & met some nice people

    Cons

Upper management is not held accountable for adding work outside of already tight (and sometimes impossible) design budgets.
Revolving door of new arrivals and people leaving.

    Advice to Management

Make everyone accountable, not just the lower level workers.
Encourage and celebrate all workers, not just a select few!

I worked at Herbert Rowland & Grubic full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Met some nice people there

    Cons

Upper Management is cliquey, no point in complaining to HR about someone in upper management as nothing will be done about it. Knowing how to play the game outweighs loyalty to ensure job security.

I worked at Herbert Rowland & Grubic full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent collection of co-workers. Work-life balance was okay, though with any consulting firm night meetings, etc are required for upper level staff.

    Cons

Some of the upper management leave a lot to be desired. Apparent lack in support of junior staff by some of management. More willing to pass blame down versus accepting some responsibility due to lack of oversight.

    Advice to Management

Work on effective management skills, responsibility.
