I worked at Heritage Environmental Services for less than a year

    Pros

Interesting work, down to earth staff and management, relatively altruistic/ethical environmental company. Free clinic, reimbursement for approved collage courses.

    Cons

low pay results in high 'low skill worker' rotation, meaning the rest of the employees have to pick up the slack, often with no more compensation. Compensation for skilled workers is not competitive.

    Advice to Management

stabilize "low skill worker" or make a program rewarding help with plant shortcomings

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Heritage Environmental Services full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Overtime if you want it, will hire anyone.. I mean anyone..Absentee management (can be a pro). Supplies necessary for job are available regularly

    Cons

Low pay, management won't get their hands dirty which prevents them from understand the logistics of day to day responsibilites, poor training, minimal advancement opportunities, MANY MANY Incompetent and lazy people (but they get there on time! ...To do the absolute minimum) entrenched in higher positions.

    Advice to Management

Create an applicable and calculated induction program for new hires. Acknowledge and actually develop (not talk about it every few months as some far off pipe dream) talented employees. Actually and truly evaluate managerial performance and actions on day to day, eliminate people in positions that you know are ineffective.
