I have been working at Hermes part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It's pretty flexible and can fit around other commitments. I can plan my deliveries to suit my timetable. My field manager is very friendly and supportive and the other couriers are encouraging and generous with advice for newbies. There are some fuel, insurance and other discounts available.

    Cons

It is what it is, which is a courier job. The pay isn't great and it can feel like drudgery at times. You don't get paid for time spent organizing your parcels into delivery order, although this takes about an hour to do. It's not for everyone.

I worked at Hermes part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay is okay but shifts are tiring

    Cons

None of the parcel sorters here speaks English! Not a word of it! This made things very confusing and unclear when I was being trained. Felt very isolated not able to socialise with my co workers

I have been working at Hermes full-time

    Pros

Absolutely none. The company doesn’t look after nor value there workers. They put so much pressure on workers there’s no balance between home and work life.

    Cons

Push workers to hard, take work home. No balance between work and home life.

    Advice to Management

Look after your employees. Stop enforcing the 7day working week in the run up to Xmas. Families need to spend time together, can’t enjoy Xmas period, children miss there father-debating a divorce thanks to Hermes.
