    Pros

A small lean organization that provides its people with the autonomy, the independence to manage their work without layers of bureaucracy that generally hinder progress. Like minded people that strive to do the best.

    Cons

The managements systems need to be less complicated and more user friendly. Too many people get involved in the development of new system that it end up quite confusing and the main objectives for the system get lost.

    Advice to Management

Seek out strong project management individuals that have the right background and experience to help guide the technical teams and individuals achieve project / business objectives.

I worked at Hess Corporation as a contractor

    Pros

Outstanding thoughtful recruiting process. All jobs open are posted and applicants are viewed. They have a interview process with panels and they do ask pertinent and serious questions. They want the best talent available. It is expected candidates gain knowledge about the role/firm before talking to a recruiter. Make sure you have a good answer as to why you want a job at Hess. Great recruiters will want to work here.

    Cons

Applicants not selected will be waiting until the interviews are complete and the HIRED candidate signs the offer letter since they do not sign off applicants until they are done. It isn't fair for applicants to wait so long but realistically that is the only way to do it in case they lose the finalist. They do close out all applicants however so there is closure.

    Advice to Management

Recruiting team is strong and the Lead manager and Strategist there continues to bring innovative tools and ways of working.
