    Approves of CEO

    I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great products, great colleagues and nice working environment

    Cons

Rates from Commercial world were to expensive to be used in government sector. Not enough competitive contracts.

    Advice to Management

Expand contract base, and be less concerned about margins.

  2. "EDS was initially a good environment, got too bureaucratic when HP took over"

    I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good salaries, very capable colleagues, strong company provided benefits and other perks.

    Cons

Legacy mindset of what the end-user community really wanted...difficult to change the internal view of "good business" as being those projects which added more headcount to a renewing project when the clients were seeking economies of scale and more efficient running of their programs. That disconnect was (and may likely still is) pervasive in the professional services arena.

    Advice to Management

Take a deep introspective look at the "cons" posting I noted. Fixing that means less revenue for the renewing projects and less revenue for new bids...but you'll win more bids.
