    I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Ability to telecommute, experienced and friendly co-workers, global direct management a pleasure to work for.

    Cons

Work force reductions tied to high cost countries vs what the employee is providing the company

    Advice to Management

More focus on workforce moral and employment

    I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great training database for self-learners.

    Cons

Pay rate wasn't too bad, however, it could have included a bonus for those that had on-call rotation.

    Advice to Management

Get involved and support your peak performers!

I have been working at Hewlett-Packard full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Broad opportunities across industries and clients. When you work at the customer site you are definitely limited to that company and the roles within it.

    Cons

You are a vendor always serving a customer and as such subject to the customer's direction.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the central HR management and allow the management that is closest to the employee to evaluate and direct that employees activities. I know the central HR reaches out to them but the reviews are a joke since they are for the most part just reading emails from your real manager.

    Pros

Fortune 100 company. Pay is good if you rise to a level higher than individual performer.

    Cons

Sometimes too large and difficult to get things done in a simple manner. Frustration galore especially in online training with no one to ask questions. Management structure in this modern business climate leaves much to be desired and management tries to appear friendly but they are in an ivory tower.

    Advice to Management

Make systems more user friendly. Eliminate the multiple approval authorizations it takes to get anything processed.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

None. It was horrible. Full of incompetence and nepotism.

    Cons

You are a slave! You will treated like pond scum. As far as the are concerned and I will quote, "We can get 10 Indians for what you make!"

    Advice to Management

Get off your lazy overpaid asses and stop importing H1B's for the rock bottom pay rates.
