I worked at Hexagon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good Coffee, free soda, and a nice ice machine

    Cons

No room for growth, and do not look within the company for other opportunities, even if you are over qualified. The VPs need to go through an ethics class, and understand they cannot walk around and berate the people the have reporting to them.
Absolutely NO TRAINING You get a brief orientation from HR, you're handed a laptop, and shown your office.

    Advice to Management

Understand the days of sitting by the Fax machine waiting for orders went out in the 1980's

I have been working at Hexagon full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Company is very stable and market leader in their field. Employees have freedom to showcase talents. Good opportunity to meaningfully contribute and have contributions appreciated. The people are great to work with and the work environment is very relaxed and open if you are performing.

    Cons

This is a customer oriented company and some customers can be very demanding. People stay with this company a long time which can limit career opportunities for others. The company culture is open but can be intolerant if you are not a good performer. If you are not one to show initiative, are not a quick learner and need to have to have a formal training program to develop you, then this is not the best place for you.

    Advice to Management

Find ways to open up management opportunities to those that have not been with the company many years.
