I worked at Hexagon full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Best fitness center in the area, free to employees and local emergency services.
Other than that if you're fresh out of college it's good padding for your resume when you find something better within a year or so.

    Cons

The company cares more about its image in its industry rather than the quality of its products.

Employees are for the all but ignored unless you get in good with management. Expect less-than cost-of-living adjustments to be your typical merit raise presuming the company gives out any raises that year at all. Pay is below average for the industry and there's little incentive for retention. Intergraph would rather you walk and hire a cheap college grad to fill your spot, presuming they bother filling it at all. And let's not even try to discuss career growth or even lateral movement within the company - it simply doesn't exist.

    Advice to Management

Stop putting people into management positions that aren't qualified or worse have the people skills of a narcissist. Start caring about your employees and their careers more than caring about the metrics on your product burndown chart. Start taking risks in the product marketplace and put of competitive products rather than relying on market recognition to carry you.

I worked at Hexagon (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There aren’t any. This is just a rotten company with underhanded business tactics

    Cons

Salary is terrible because any profit is given to management.
There’s nowhere to move up to. You either click a mouse or you’re one of the few managers. There’s noting in between.
Frequent lay offs. This company seems to pride itself on how many people it can lay off each year and replace with cheap college grads. I can’t believe other company want anything to do with Hexagon since they treat their employees like such imbeciles.
The work environment is great if you like looking at another coworker all day while you’re working.
HR is a farce. They just sit around all day trying to figure out who to let go so they can save a few pennies by getting a new person in the door.
Good luck ever getting a raise. When that miracle happens the management will act like you’re the luckiest person in the world and that you really didn’t deserve it but they fought for you anyway. It’s all a load of BS.
There are several other companies in the area that do what Hexagon does and are far better companies. Go there instead.
It hard to understand why some people still remain here. Complacency I guess. There’s so many better jobs out there. I feel sorry for those who try to hold on.

    Advice to Management

Leave this company. You’re part of what’s making it an intolerable company. The upper management is the other half.

I worked at Hexagon full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    401K
    Flexible Schedule
    Great Coworkers
    That's it.

    Cons

    Constant Instability
    Multiple Furloughs
    Low/ Non Existent raises
    Low starting wages
    False promises to keep people

During my years working at Intergraph Government Solutions (they changed their name to Hexagon US Federal), there were vicious cycles of mass furloughs, followed by bringing people back only to furlough them again a year later. Most coworkers I knew had been furloughed 2-3 times, but kept coming back because they couldn't find a job in geospatial in the area. Every Friday, we feared layoffs and often referred to them as Furlough Fridays. We were promised higher raises were coming, but they never panned out. In my years working there, I never received over $0.60 in a raise despite consistently positive reviews and working knowledge of multiple areas in the company.
As soon as work did come in, there was a mad rush to employee as many new hires out of UNA as possible in order to not call back the older (more expensive) employees there.

All of our profits heading out the door into the hands of Hexagon AG made people feel there was no reason to try.

    Advice to Management

Stop putting all your eggs in one basket, diversify your work so you can actually be successful consistently.

Respect your older employees and invest your time and money into them instead of eagerly awaiting whatever low wage graduate you can find to fill a seat.

I have been working at Hexagon full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

None. If it's allowed to rate zero or negative, I would not give 1 star even.

    Cons

    All aspects.
HR is unprofessional, no help to employee but with the higher management always.
Management has no concept of product and no interests to it as well.
Management and HR are lazy, lack sense of responsibilities and low morale.
Management and HR are used to lying and forbidden employees telling truth.
Management and HR have no concept or respect to law, but no hesitate to persecute employee with all kinds of ways.
    No space to grow
    Low compensations

    Advice to Management

Nothing. I don't believe they would like to learn or even care about any advice.
