Pros
- At the time, I very appreciated the school leadership. Principal, Deans, Ops Director and teachers. - They were flexible and they were good in listening people.
Cons
- At times everything seem urgent. Therefore, sometimes the work and life balance didn't feel healthy. However, leadership wanted to work on that.

Pros
The organization is unafraid to discuss and tackle challenging topics like race and equity within its staff and leadership. Many organizations include equity in their mission and vision but don't truly dig into the work that needs to be done with their staff to deliver quality education to their students. Hiawatha is trying to do that work. The staff is fiercely committed to the community. Hiawatha has some of the best teachers that are eager to roll up their sleeves, do the work, and figure out how to meet the needs of all their students.
Cons
High turnover in leadership has made the job of new leaders and teachers very challenging. Many great ideas have circulated throughout Hiawatha, but there isn't a great information-sharing system, so processes and systems live and die with specific leaders.
