I worked at Hickory Farms part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible, easy job, 30 minute lunches,

    Cons

low pay, customers being rude to you,

    Advice to Management

Don't force your employees to yell at customers about your sales. Let them catch the customers attention on their own. just saying "Hi, how are ya" is a-lot better than yelling " buy 2 get 1 free!!!!" at the them.

I worked at Hickory Farms part-time

    Pros

If you're looking for a seasonal job to start out or make some extra holiday money, they're a pretty good company to work for. They do take care of their employees. You get to meet new people everyday and typically a work day consists of greeting customers, serving samples, restocking shelves, and ringing people up.

    Cons

It is the Holiday season so it gets busy, which can be hard but if you like a fast paced environment it's not that bad. You also might have to work some holidays -
Christmas eve or New Years because it is typically only in malls from November to January. But in my experience, they try to work around your schedule.

    Advice to Management

It's pretty good, but try to be more organized because things can be chaotic sometimes.

I worked at Hickory Farms part-time

    Pros

Nice benefits and discounts, I really enjoyed the products that were for sale. I could definitely say i'd recommend them as work for others.

    Cons

Poor Management, overly extra "fake shoppers" , it was fun when it started and then the manager was promoted and he got full of himself.

    Advice to Management

Get it together, think of the demographic you're aiming for and sell there don't try to ever reach your audience because its just a waste of mall space at Kings Plaza.

    Pros

Great location, chose my employees, decent pay, bonuses, nice mgmt, good products, great reputation. Good online training.

    Cons

Hard to find serious pt, temp employees. Manager fills in when there are gaps in schedule. Sometimes working alone isn't fun.

    Advice to Management

Keep encouraging your managers. Be clearer about contest rules and prizes. They are a great encouragement.

    Pros

There's not much cleanup involved. I would rather work here than clean up dressing rooms, ect. It's a fun environment and there's flexible hours. The pay is good, and I love that you get paid every week.

    Cons

Sometimes it was tough handing out samples.

    Advice to Management

    None at this time.
