I worked at Hidden Villa as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This was one of the richest experience I've ever enjoyed. Beautiful work environment, warm, friendly staff and great kids! Creative freedom within the kitchen. A wonderful fresh garden to pick from.

    Cons

There was no down side, I looked forward to every day and was sad when the Summer program ended.

    Advice to Management

None, these wonderful people have been doing this for decades and have everything figured out, it runs very well.

    Pros

The folks at Hidden Villa are truly genuine, mission-driven, and passionate people.

    Cons

The pay is meager..but for a non-profit, it's not too bad.

I worked at Hidden Villa full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Exceptional opportunity to learn business from a creative entrepreneur.

    Cons

Sometimes so fast paced, your job done is not top-notch.

    Advice to Management

Include more women in positions of authority and management. Used to be an exclusive "boys club".

    Pros

Amazing inspiring people all around you. Great environment, energy, perks. So many opportunities for growth and development.

    Cons

This is not so much against the organization as it is the area in which it is located. Great salary/benefits, but hard to get by in such an overpowering city financially.

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up!

I have been working at Hidden Villa part-time

    Pros

Hidden Villa has been a wonderful work experience. I have seen both my responsibilities and knowledge grow. Hidden Villa has been an integral part of the professional development.

    Cons

My position is seasonal. I work on and off throughout the season, and have no position in the summer. I find it difficult to be independent with an inconsistent work schedule.

    Advice to Management

Hidden Villa is a wonderful and respected space. The employees live and breathe the space. It is a privilege to work here.

I worked at Hidden Villa full-time

    Pros

People are great to work with and company structure is flexible and tries to find the right place for everyone.

    Cons

Most of the employees have been there for a long time (10+ years) and might be too comfortable at their positions.

    Advice to Management

The company would probably benefit from bringing in new hires in upper management and get rid of the people who basically are just there to collect a pay check.
