    Pros

There was a flexibile work schedule. They also had free lunch, gym.

    Cons

The pay is very poor. There's zero accountability for employees who abuse flexibility. No promotions from within.

I have been working at Higher One full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There is a lot of room to learn new things in the Ops department. It was hard to figure out at first but once you get the hang of the environment there is no ceiling in terms of exposure.

    Cons

Though there is lots of room to learn, there isn't much growth here in terms of promotions. So you'll learn and expand your responsibilities outside of your job scope however the promotions don't come along with it.

    Pros

It was fun part-time work. The compensation was fair for type of job. Tech support was good. Good training. They were good to work around my school schedule.

    Cons

Company decided to outsource the customer service department, which was their one strong suit. They offered a bonus for staying until previously agreed upon time, then changed the time.

    Advice to Management

Customers commented on how nice it was to speak to an American. Now they have trouble just making themselves understood and understanding the CSA. Good idea if you want to discourage customers from calling, I guess.
