    Pros

    Offers benefits, smaller company allows for more interaction with company management, more positions are opening up

    Cons

    Lack of benefits choices and expensive, salaries could be more competitive

    Advice to Management

    More transparency and communication between HQ and employees in the field would help resolve a lot of confusion and issues that employees may (or often) have

    Pros

    Management is amazing. They have hired a quality COO and the VP/CEO genuinely care about employees. Do your job and strive to be better and the management will take care of you. Co-workers are quality people and make the day go.

    -Way too many girl scout cookies in the office. I have zero willpower.

    Keep doing what you have been doing. Perhaps invest in new nap pods like google...

    Pros

    This is the best job I've had thus far in my career and the company does a great job at listening to their employees. You normally get a response pretty fast if you have a question into management and I feel very secure in my job.

    Cons

    Our activity tracker program just got dropped! But that is small in the scheme of things.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work and thanks for sending out those surveys periodically. You guys seem to address the feedback which is wonderful. It'd be great to see a new activity incentive come back into the health insurance program- a few of us are bummed about that stopping. But otherwise, thank you.

    I worked at Highlight Technologies full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    HQ has family-type atmosphere. Good, occasional in-house training. Support for all employees working at customer sites from executive staff. Generous pay.

    Cons

    Health benefits are not the greatest, although the dental portion is very good. Not enough opportunity to move to other contracts (side effect of being a small company)

    Advice to Management

    Fight harder to keep entire staff on contract through base and all option years. Remind customers that they wrote the requirements of the contract and need to stick to the terms or write "agreed-upon" contract modifications.

    Pros

    Small company with accessible HQ staff, CEO and VP. They are very responsive and make decisions far quicker than any company I have worked with. Issues get resolved quickly as well.

    Cons

    The website is a bit outdated and the company "portal" is still being developed. I can't easily locate the company policies digitially.

    Advice to Management

    Communication is huge for small companies, almost more so than larger ones. Keep reaching out to your emploees with information on company development. The strategic communications fosters the growing culture as well.

    Highlight is very supportive of career development, providing employees with many chances to take classes, join organizations and achieve industry certifications. Highlight provides a flexible workplace for employees that are willing to do what it takes to get the job done. It is exciting to work with a small, forward-moving company that values its employees.

    - Management is readily accessible

    - No real concrete path for advancement is laid out
    - Small company with a short bench; meaning when your project is over, you're gone

    Advice to Management

    You need to have an in writing, concrete path that lays out what employees need to do to be promoted. Also have some sort of structure around job titles.

    Company has good intentions and tries to create a very friendly and open-minded atmosphere.

    Cons

    Pay and benefits could be more competitive; company needs to focus on a particular line(s) of business/niche vs trying to go out for any kind of business; get really connected with staff just not superficially connected so that they are [really] in tune with concerns of their employees.

    Listen earnestly and digest the information being provided opposed to applying surface resolves for underlying mismanagement and/or company indecision.

    Location, holidays, pay, and being employed

    Cons

    Management plays favorites. Always looking for someone to blame and finding reasons to terminate you. Too much gossip and insincerity for my tastes. If you're a hard worker, you will just get more work and don't get recognized for going above and beyond.

    Have a heart
