Great People & Benefits; Lack of upward mobility

      Pros

great people and camaraderie; extra benefits like work from home days and fitness reimbursements help to make up for lack of compensation

      Cons

the next step is never clear; little incentive to go the extra mile; no bonuses or clear promotion/raise structure

      Pros

Great clients, great people, fantastic opportunities to learn as much about public relations and client service as you could.

      Cons

Long hours, turnover at the highest levels, not the same place after merging with Public Strategies. Became an old boys club.

Was so great for so long...

      Pros

GREAT people. Smart, friendly and just genuine. Clients are good but a lot of stalwart clients have left. Open opportunities to sink your teeth into what you want. Energy, technology and crises are big. I owe everything I know to the wonderful mentors I've had there.

      Cons

This agency was so damn exceptional before the merger but has really fallen hard. Remaining HK legacy leadership is awesome but many GREAT people have left. Before they would leave for in house opps. Now they are leaving fir rival agencies. Morale was down when I left. Even the most enthusiastic were discouraged. Pay is low and promotions are selected from small list.

      Pros

Great people, interesting high-profile accounts, top-tier crisis team, great learning environment for anyone interested in public relations or marketing

      Cons

Mostly typical agency angst--long hours, office politics, bureaucratic structure. Low pay relative to long hours and high pressure environment.

      Pros

Not much to add except the great people and interesting work

      Cons

Lack of senior management; they will work you till you drop dead! No concept of work life balance; impossible to take a vacation; don’t even think of receiving a raise…it wont happen! The people are excellent but are treated with zero respect. If you get offered a job here…run for your life! They have offices in Canada but have no idea how to run a business in the Canadian Market
