I have been working at Hilton full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

We have a generous PTO package, good benefits, and a lot of perks outside the paycheck: the opportunity to work from home, somewhat flexible work hours, and often food provided at the office.

    Cons

Since my specific job is done remotely from the teams I and my peers work with anyway, it'd be useful to be able to work from home full-time.

    Advice to Management

Some of the technology systems are outdated. Let's get new, current versions out there, with fewer bugs.

I have been working at Hilton full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There is a culture of hospitality in everything we do. My coworkers are very caring and genuine. My boss is invested in my success. The hotel discounts are fantastic!

    Cons

Hilton is a giant matrix with multiple teams and departments and it can be difficult to navigate at times. There are so many new managers who are only one or two years out of college and they do not know how to manage people. Pay is way below what other corporations offer.

    Advice to Management

Invest in solid management programs for people who are first-time managers of people. Too much of this is self-lead and left up to the individual. Just because someone is good at their job and a subject matter expert they will not be an effective manager. Leaders should be managers and development is severely lacking in a lot of departments. If you want to prepare the next generation of your workforce to succeed and make Hilton better and more profitable, invest heavily in these programs. Please look at pay scales across the board. If you want to retain people, you need to pay them their worth.

I have been working at Hilton full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Working in the Revenue Management I have by far the best Work/Life Balance ever experienced in my 10-year Hospitality career.
    - Expanding department with endless advancement opportunities.
    - Leadership takes your concerns seriously and works to resolve issues immediately.

    Cons

    - Office diversity could use a little help.
    - Benefits are best in the among any company, but base compensation could be improved.

    Advice to Management

Considering that the cost of living in Dallas is on the rise, yearly cost of living increase that are not a part of our performance merit would be helpful.

I worked at Hilton as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

I worked on couple of POCs and love the team. It has been more than 7 months (when I write this review) since my contract was terminated, but I still miss the team.

    Cons

Even though it was a large organization, you can never imagine how things turn against you.

I worked at Hilton full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Hilton likes to promote from within, so there's plenty of promotion opportunities whether it's within the department or somewhere else. Hilton hotels are all over the place, so there's the potential to relocate and they make it very easy
Travel benefits are a nice perk. Hilton is also rolling out new maternity/paternity benefits for families and adoption assistance.
It's hospitality so you're always meeting new people.

    Cons

It's a customer service job so it can test your patience.
Time off can be hard to come by and the hours can be rough.

    Advice to Management

Great benefits to team members, keep being a leader in the industry for taking care of employees.
