I have been working at Hilton Grand Vacations full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The professional work environment is second to none. The quality of the culture is something that this industry strives for but rarely achieves. People who work here have a career, not a job.

    Cons

It is a results based business, so sometimes good people don't make it. Sales is not for everyone and the really good ones make it look easy. It is not an easy job and it is not for everyone.

    Advice to Management

Continue the path that you are currently on. It is effective and working.

I worked at Hilton Grand Vacations (Less than a year)

    Pros

Some of the people are really nice. 401k, insurance, decent travel benefits.

    Cons

If you are in a sales role, management and leaders will swear up and down that it doesn't matter what day it is, or what people are on your roster, the leads don't matter. Not true. Leads are cherry picked and assigned per agent.

I worked at Hilton Grand Vacations full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Hilton provides excellent PTO and Insurance benefits. The company itself is great to work for.

    Cons

Agents feel like they must beg to get approval from their manager for their earned vacation days. Rules for applying for vacation change daily. Some employees can make up time missed and others cannot and are reprimanded. Employee turnover rate is beyond terrible for multiple reasons. The job of calling guest repeatedly is stressful. Booking expectations are higher than reasonable. The employee discount perks for hotel stays are few because of little availability. Management does not treat every employee the same. Some employees are written up and others are not for the same reasons. Management had rather higher new employees than be reasonable with staff. It takes a long time to build a calendar filled with tour bookings and once your calendar is filled you are then written up every time your late regardless of the reason: baby is sick, dr appt, traffic on I-4, dentist appt, accident. Even if you work over or work in advance to make up time and use your earned PTO. Once you are fired then you will never get paid for those tours you've worked so hard to book. Who benefits then, management? Yes I believe they do.

    Advice to Management

Review your department managers not only based on the bottom line numbers but if they treat employees fairly. Exit interviews with each employee should be a must. At that point you will know why the turnover rate is extremely high.
