    Pros

    Great organization and amazing benefits. Overall fantastic leadership structure at a corporate level. Leadership on the hotel level varies from property to property and typically depends on the GM and DOSM's style. Travel perks have improved over the years and the portfolio of brands and hotels is huge. Big in promoting from within and cross-brand. 2 of the 3 hotels I have worked with have been supportive of my request to apply for promotion at a different property.

    Cons

    More conservative than most other hospitality companies (ability to work remote, dress code, flexibility with hours). As of summer 2017, they are working to change this.

    Pros

    Worldwide hotel discounts from $39 - $59, team member discounts on cars, beds, and electronics. Good pay and PTO structure as well.

    Cons

    Not many. Maybe more opportunity for Sales to work from home. Would be great if there were more managed properties to work at because working at a franchise is not like working for Hilton.

    Advice to Management

    Rethink remote Sales offices. Makes commute a non-issue and would increase morale.

    Growth opportunities, training, employee travel discounts, uncapped bonus structure, leading in introducing new developments to the industry/ adapting to trends. Very exciting place to work!

    Pros

    Good company benefits that included a competitive 401K match and an employee purchase program of Hotel products, such as bedding. I worked for a couple of Hilton properties that included downtown urban Hotels as well as a resort. It was fun to sell the brand, but the product always seemed to be dated compared to the competition.

    Cons

    Competitive goals, stressful work environment, tons of reporting deadlines and too many negative team members ready to sabotage your efforts.

    Advice to Management

    Embrace talent and hard working team members. Stop allowing gossip and turmoil to infect your offices and work environment. Hilton has many employees that do not accept change, are not team players, do not like going the extra mile, and enjoy working in the toxic swamp. Drain the swamp and your Hotels will be more successful with more happy customers.

    Pros

    Good benefits, good pay, promotions possible. People I worked with were wonderful. The hotel brands are all excellent.

    Cons

    After working with the newer added brands, Hampton Inns, Embassy Suites, Homewood Suites for over 35 years, I retired. I got a goodbye lunch! A lifetime discount at the hotels would have been nice.

    Advice to Management

    Take care of the people that give their lives to these hotel brands!!

    Pros

    Hilton is so great at valuing and recognizing their team members, through monthly Team Member of the Month and Manager of the Quarter Celebrations, to an annual trip for the top Sales People in the company.
    This company truly believes in providing us with the tools and resources needed to get our job done (company phones, laptops, etc.)
    A pretty good employee Travel Plan offering highly discounted rooms (including for Friends or Family)
    Major opportunities to grow and get promoted.
    Hilton Employees are extremely loyal. Most colleagues have been at the same property for 12+ years.
    The sales world offers extremely competitive salaries and benefits and clearly attracts the best people in the business. Many people long to get in with this company.

    Cons

    Not many cons that I can honestly think of. As a current employee, because of the company being a public entity, there is a bit higher pressure to ensure accurate results in regard to financial performance; not really a "con" but something to consider.
