I worked at Hilton as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Hands-on, develop your Spanish skills, great team environment, free food, good benefits, and managers want to see you grow as an intern.

    Cons

Short staffed for housekeeping, don't get breaks a lot of the times, always up and down hotel floors, technology can be utilized to cut tedious work projects.

    Advice to Management

Be sure to inspect rooms on a regular basis (especially for not so good workers), because they try to beat the system.

I worked at Hilton (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Very dynamic, interesting, sometimes faced-pace and most all, very fun!

    Cons

Long hours standing, knowing a second (or third) language is most preferred.

    Advice to Management

Search out prospective employees who already have the needed skills beforehand opposed to trying to teach these skills to new, unprepared people.

I have been working at Hilton part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

One HUGE pro is the perk of staying at a Hilton Hotel at a discounted rate, this is amazing and widely used. Travel the world and stay at an Embassy Suites for as little as $39.00 a night! But this is far from the only perk available.

    Cons

I cannot think of any direct cons toward Hilton. A Hilton can be corporate, franchised or privately owned so there is no need to worry about the stuffy corporate feel or small town private feel, an employee can choose what fits their needs.

    Advice to Management

Keep it light. A hotel is where people come to vacation and have a good time, therefore management should be fun loving people, who know how to keep the spirits high.

I have been working at Hilton part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I am getting professional experience, learning different languages and having the opportunity to know all about different cultures with all the customers.

    Cons

I was at a small city in Spain, and it was basically focused on business travelling customers. I would like to have the opportunity to learn all about different customers.

I have been working at Hilton full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Stable reliable job, good heslth benefits, good travel benefits

    Cons

You won't have the typical schedule the rest of the world has, you will work weeknds, maybe nights, holidays, etc, BUT this means you have less traffic and since your days off are not regylar days off, no crowds at the store!!! I think thats worth it.
