I have been working at Hilton part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good company to get into and work your way around to see where the $ is. Lots of vacation time and very nice people. Union position in restaurant and banquets. Great tips when I have business. Last check was $1500 for two weeks. Including my tips and 48 hours so pt.

    Cons

Slow season is so slow but you can use your vacation pay to supplement. You don't get your credit card tips the same day as a server/bartender. Night shift starts off pt but you can pick up shifts or cross train in other departments.

    Advice to Management

Let new employees know it is pt and tell them ahead of time they don't make credit card tips the same day.

I worked at Hilton full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The employees of the Hilton were very good people and fun to work with. The lunch was great too - it came straight from the restaurant and events!

    Cons

Bad training, horrible communication. I remember saying I'd cover a few graveyard shifts and then without asking me, my manager switched me to graveyards. Not cool.

    Advice to Management

The job itself isn't fun, so the pay might as well make up for it.

    Pros

Management seems decent, for the most part.

    Cons

Most of the people who I worked with didn't seem to care about their jobs or the company they worked for.
