    I have been working at Hines Interests Limited Partnership full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Benefits, competitive pay, training and career advancement opportunities

    Cons

    High expectations to be expected from company offering best in class real estate and facilities management. Leadership support and recognition of mid level management could be better.

    I have been working at Hines Interests Limited Partnership full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Great benefits and friendly employees

    Cons

    Upper management has difficulty changing to adopt new concepts and ideas to properly support mid-level management.

    Advice to Management

    Appropriately staff asset assignments so as to not overburden the assigned property staff. Low employee numbers and high work load leave many employees stressed.

    I worked at Hines Interests Limited Partnership full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Very highly regarded in the industry, especially for conservative investing.

    Cons

    An other word for "conservative investing" is "not competitive". Managers at Hines find themselves cleaning their pencil drawers while managers at competing firms are buying and developing exciting projects.

    Advice to Management

    Speak frankly and frequently with existing and prospective managers about market conditions and opportunities for growth.

    "Little Diversity, Limited Room for Growth"

    I have been working at Hines Interests Limited Partnership full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    * Decent Pay
    * Decent Benefits
    * Growing Industry
    * Company has good reputation with clients/contractors
    * Most employees are friendly and helpful
    * Some regions are very involved in the community which is nice
    * Company focus on earth sustainability and eco friendly materials

    Cons

    * VERY limited room for growth. Even in the big cities, so other reviews are accurate in this.
    *Politics and who you know play a huge part in your career development if you are to advance within, much more so than other companies.
    * Corporate/regional opportunities are rare
    * Company boasts about developing talent, but are very detached from
     most employees
    * Other companies may offer better pay/benefits
    * Not very diverse

    Advice to Management

    A lot of companies market diversity and developing talent and careers, but few actually uphold those claims, and this appears to be the case. A lot of employees have been around a very long time and have never been offered opportunities or "developed". Favoritism keeps truly talented people looked over and they leave for better opportunities with competitors.

    Cons

    Pros

    Great bonus structure. Very autonomous position.

    Cons

    Poor structure around processes. Low interaction with non-construction roles.

    Advice to Management

    Better processes and integration between construction and development (or property/asset management) would improve operations and decision-making for both sides.

    I worked at Hines Interests Limited Partnership full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    With this position you will get what you put into the job. Opportunities for growth, good for self starters, the smaller the office the more roles you will take on. I enjoyed working with all parts of the team and taught myself everything from writing contracts, event management, communications, risk management requirements, etc. Can be an expert at a lot of things if you put the work in.

    Cons

    Male dominated industry, dealt with constant sexism from contractors and previous coworkers (more old school). Did not have any strong female leaders to look up to at my branch, voice was often diminished because of this. Became better over time after I gained respect from most of the people I interacted with. New initiatives are working to change that. Need thick skin.

    Pros

    It is a great place to work for
