I have been working at HireStrategy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Supportive mentors, energetic team atmosphere, amazing resources, sets you up with a winning outline to build your business, the sky's the limit to your success, puts you and your family first!

    Cons

With any recruiting role, it takes a bit to build your neighborhood rapport, so patience is needed. Other than that, no real cons.

    I worked at HireStrategy full-time

    Pros

nice offices are about all i can think of. really bad experience. very obvious that it used to be cool and successful a while ago but now its horrible and not doing well

    Cons

it's a disaster! the whole company hates it, they hire people only to try to brainwash them, leadership with no leadership experience and have zero clue what to do, the pay is really low and well below market standard or average, full of unethical managers who will lie and say anything they have to to get you in the door only for you to open the door and see how bad this place is. i guess all the good and senior people left after some major drama and ever since they started all this lying to hire a big group of people with no experience to try to replace them all and it failed entirely. if you are even thinking about working here try reaching out to people that used to work here to tell you the truth

    Advice to Management

i couldn't agree more with the countless other reviews about them not caring about their people or their thoughts or anything really. washed up place that's keeps going deeper and deeper into the ground

I have been working at HireStrategy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Unlimited growth potential, fair work schedule, minimal micromanagement, fun company events, ethical business practices.

I've worked at HS for about three years. Since the acquisition, little has changed in the actual day-to-day for regular staff. The management continues to be supportive of Associates at all levels. The company and offices are agile enough to change practices as needed. Good starting base and competitive bonus/commission structure. The biggest thing I have enjoyed about working here is the clear, transparent, and ethical business practices that take place at this organization versus many competitors. The staff should take pride in the HireStrategy processes as they are not industry standards.

    Cons

Pretty standard sales/staffing environment which is not necessarily a Con but rather a reality. Hard work and high activity is rewarded. Only negative is that each office and team has very different cultures. Each recruiter comes in with a varying level of experience and talent level. Those that don't want to work or lack social intelligence won't do well here.

    Advice to Management

Continue to be agile, make sure middle management is held to high standards, keep up the continuous education for all staff!

I have been working at HireStrategy full-time

    Pros

There is a network of clients built over many years that gives us all the chance to make money. The culture is incredible with company outings, rewards, contests and mentor programs. Coming from another staffing agency the training is unlike I've ever had. Leadership has been around for many years and truly takes time to work with you.

    Cons

Too Many Jobs to Work on At Once Need more focus for The Recruiters so we are not spread thin Some more technical training

    Advice to Management

Those that have left over the last year weren't hard workers, they all had hand me downs so keep rewarding loyal staff. Keep investing in us like you are so that we can become better in sales coming from recruiting. More Technology Training

    Pros

    collaborative, educational, patient, local, fun

    Cons

commission structure isn't all that aggressive. It's mostly great for people new to recruiting looking to get a solid educational foundation in the art of recruiting.

    Advice to Management

Better employee benefits would make HS even more wonderful. Health insurance 90 days out is pretty lame. Not to mention the plans aren't amazing.

I have been working at HireStrategy full-time

    Pros

Flexible work schedule, young environment, ability to work remote. The job teaches you time management and organizational skills, as well as gives you the opportunity to work with lots of different types of people on the candidate and client side. Good company to work for as a contractor.

    Cons

If you're an internal employee, watch out. they do not value their employees if you're not making the company money, and there is no initiative from management to want to help change that. C-level executives do not care about the concerns employees have. It's great if you're hitting your activity metrics, but if you haven't placed anyone in a job, chances are your job won't last. I've seen them get rid of some EXCELLENT recruiters all because of things the recruiters had no control over, but the executives could have changed. And if they don't want you working there, you can count on getting terminated for reasons not explained to you or laid off with a severance. C-level executives will get rid of an employee before taking the time to understand employee concerns or issues. Every new employee has the same problems with making placements. The environment is extremely cut throat, and you can count on your candidates never getting submitted if you aren't best friends with the Business Development managers. Ranked a "Best Place to Work" in the Washington News Journal, but that is just another lie they like to tell people to make you want to work with them. It's unfortunate because I am still an employee here, and I hate it.

    Advice to Management

Learn the struggles of the employees and find ways to help them. Don't just throw people on 30 day performance plans and tell them that if they're not in a certain place in 30 days, they're fired. That is not productive or efficient. People who have trouble usually require guidance. Take time to help before you make executive decisions that leave people unemployed. Business Development managers need to take a more customer focused approach and stop discriminating against candidates because of who is representing them in the company.
