    Pros

    Set schedule
    Pretty easy job

    Cons

    Unethical and inequitable company

Sales is full of the “good ole boys

Still have people working there - in leadership roles - without even a college degree.

Management likes to play games and not hold themselves accountable for anything - easier to blame someone below them.

    Steer clear

    Advice to Management

Make sure to open your eyes and pay attention to what is actually happening.

Get and HR dept and support your employees.

I worked at Hit Promotional Products full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lots of overtime in the peak season if you want it.

    Cons

The company is owned by a family and it shows that there is no one over them. The place is run like a legalized sweat shop. The owner would come around occasionally and take a look at what was going on and if he did not like the way you looked at him curse you out and fire you on the spot. Management from department all the way up to the top was constantly cursing the employees and yelling at them. Very hostile atmosphere, unless you could become friends with at least one manager. Best day of my work life was the day I quit working here.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to treat your employees and actually get some real manager training.

    Pros

The awesome co-workers I got to meet.

    Cons

Pay STINKS Management STINKS. They are RUDE and belittling to their employees, whom bust their behinds for them.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. When they tell you that they are overloaded with work, they probably are. Paying temp agency wages, get you temp agency quality employees.

I have been working at Hit Promotional Products full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

fellow co-workers are great. free coffee available

    Cons

only one nice manager, everyone else is micromanaging and belittling. the expectations are unrealistic and the pay does not match the amount of work that is expected to be done.
and beware, the minute you get a “raise” or new position you get put under a microscope. they watch you all day through the obscene amount of cameras in the building and call you into the office the minute you rest your head on your hand or yawn to tell you that they think you aren’t taking your job seriously. if you start working here, do not accept a raise or new position. it’s not worth it.

    Advice to Management

Realize that your employees have lives and families and responsibilities OUTSIDE of this job and to be a little more accommodating. there is no reason to yell, holler and scream at your employees over pens, mints and fidget spinners. the pay should be increased to match what you are asking everyone to do. if the pay was higher, the quality of work would increase as well.

I worked at Hit Promotional Products full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The company grows about 10% per year. As far as I know, they have not committed 1st degree murder.

Some of the workers are wonderful people and I have nothing but praise for my close colleagues that I worked with on a daily basis.

    Cons

The aforementioned 10% yearly growth goes straight back into the company and also into the hands of the top 0.25% which just so happen to have the same last name. I'm sure that's just a coincidence.

If you do last long enough to get a raise, don't expect anything more than 1-3% after a few years.

They love to claim job security with many positions. Well, job security is a double-edged sword; if you are irreplaceable you are also unpromotable. You'll just get more work dumped on you.

If you thought the NSA intrudes on your privacy, you haven't seen anything until you work here. On top of the visible 1000+ cameras, there are also hidden pinhole cameras in areas like the breakrooms. If you look hard enough you will find them.

Micromanagement, harassment and threats are daily occurrences and part of the S family values.

Do not report anything. You will be the one fired for causing aggravation.

Advanced education is frowned upon. They want easily controlled slaves that do not question anything.

Everything that you do, every movement, every phone call, every email, your personal social media accounts, your personal email and your personal life WILL be monitored.

They hire convicted sex offenders, convicted felons, drug addicts and other top quality candidates. Hit also heavily relies on foreign temps here on work visas as well as resident temps.

Compared to the rest of the cons, the lack of work/life balance, very little PTO, minimal benefits, salary/hourly rates at the lowest of the low end of the spectrum, chastised or constructively terminated for even thinking of using the FMLA for a childbirth; these negatives are the least of your worries at Hit.

    Advice to Management

I'd say drain the swamp, but that would be the majority of the executives.
