I have been working at Hitachi Consulting full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Getting out of here real soon...Can't wait to align myself with a real company

    Cons

Company is moving to solution based, but lack the vision to get there. Lost some good clients and accounts, hired a bunch of Core Consultants but didn't have work for them to do so they fired them. Many good people have been fired or quit on their own, but if you're good at sucking up to management, you'd be safe.

    Advice to Management

Get together and come up with a strategy to move forward or hire people that are capable to lead.

I have been working at Hitachi Consulting full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

As time goes on, almost none.

    Cons

New review process rolled out after 1 yr of development. Same exact process with new names. What a joke.

Targets are are not attainable, so every quarter is a miss with no bonus.

No raises unless you get promoted, while moving to bonus based compensation. See above, no bonuses.

    Pay greatly under market.

What little leadership was left, has either been laid off or moved on to better competitor receiving big salary increases.

Little to no communication on transformation, goals and progress.

    Advice to Management

If things don't change for the better soon, expect there to be no one left.

Please don't screw everyone again in the year end bonus. We feel like the company has not honored it's promises made.

I worked at Hitachi Consulting full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If you are new to consulting Hitachi is a great company to work for. They have an extensive training program for every level of employee.

    Cons

Their yearly review process takes too much time and didn't seem to be very effective. You are assigned to a manager and they are responsible for advocating for you when it comes to your overall review. Having someone else basically control how you are perceived and what advancement you will get is not an effective or fair system.
