    Pros

    Good company to work with
    Great work life balance
    Nice co-workers and team
    Benefits perks etc..
Great Culture, Team build up events

    Cons

So far there had been nothing that was unhappy, except few extra work that were to be committed to customer. It can sometimes be little negative in terms of providing expectations to customer. Again, isolated instance.
Consulting travel time - constant travel may be sometime tiresome.

I have been working at Hitachi Consulting full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Good work-life balance
    - Great culture. Most people (managers/directors and below) really care about each other and delivering good work to clients
    - Some opportunities for CORE Consultants to experience different industries

    Cons

    - Very poor salary base and bonus structure
    - Administrative heavy that takes away from client work
    - Lack of transparency between leadership and employees
    - Recent enterprise transformation is proving to be challenging for the company
    - Lack of training opportunities for employees
    - Very price competitive in the industry
    - Biased annual reviews
    - A lot of variance on culture and employeeS' caliber across GEOs
    - No brand recognition in the US

    Advice to Management

    - Redefine who you hire as you transform the business. There's a major gap between the skills of your employees and the work you do while you transform Hitachi Consulting.
    - Improve your pipeline forecasting. Leadership does not have a handle on managing hiring against forecasting pipeline.
    - Be honest to your employees. There's no trust
    - Improve/reduce internal administrative processes. Delivery should focus on delivering consulting work and not on administrative (e.g. annual reviews, time and expenses, etc.)
    - Establish clarity on performance review process and what's expected from employees across all levels

I have been working at Hitachi Consulting full-time

    Pros

    - Friends
    - Located close to Microsoft
    - Some good projects

    Cons

    - Majority of the people take pride in being autocratic leaders
    - It is "their way" or the highway
    - Poor work culture, 'Long hours means you are productive'
    - No travel on most projects

    Advice to Management

Stop giving "power" to a few individuals! They are just misusing it.
Thanks to how they desire to ru(i)n things, it is now a difficult environment, that no one wants to work in, for too long.
They dictate and force their decisions and thoughts, thereby killing creativity.

I have been working at Hitachi Consulting full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great people, Fun environment, Team events (at least in my office)

    Cons

The entire company structure is changing and they are laying off hundreds. Senior management has claimed to be transparent, but they are not. Many people now do not trust the company. All recruiting has stopped for at least the next year and on top of not hiring, they are laying off employees. Something is going on behind the scenes that we are not aware of and it doesn't sound good at all.

It is not the time to think about joining Hitachi.

    Advice to Management

If you're going to claim to be transparent, commit to that 100%. We prefer you not pretending to be transparent. If are jobs are not safe, for example, don't tell us they are 3 weeks before laying off a large group of people.
