    Pros

    Nothing this company is awful.

    Cons

Leadership is absolutely stupid from senior manager to Vice President. OEM practice is
Clueless no idea about training or change management. Senior experienced people don't go here. This is a great company if you just graduated college. I've been working for over 10 years and this was the worst experience in my professional career.

    Advice to Management

    Grow up!!!

    Advice to Management

-Realize your people have value and start acting accordingly. You have a responsibility to your people as well as you pocketbooks. Stop putting the $$$ ahead of your people

    Cons

Lots of travel for little pay and lots of hours work. Compensation is weak and the company has an high turnover rate.

I worked at Hitachi Consulting (More than a year)

    Pros

Virtual opportunity. Solid number of required training hours expected each year.

    Cons

While I was a seasoned hire from day one I constantly felt judged. It was as though the group I supported felt I wasn't qualified to support them. They constantly questioned me, my actions and my boss about my abilities. I was producing and meeting my goals and objectives and it still wasn't enough. Sr. leaders couldn't let go and let me managing things and do my job. Along with that the company boosts about their 360 degree feedback process yet my business partners in this one particular group would never come directly to me, even when I directly asked for feedback. I think once you win them over you're in but I'm fairly confident that it would take longer than any solid true professional would be willing to stick around.

    Advice to Management

Review your new hires credentials and when they have the skills and experience allow them to excel in their space. If and only if there's documented reason or error to be concerned and guidance or coaching is needed provide it. Micromanaging is not attractive and does not provide an environment where employees thrive.

I worked at Hitachi Consulting (More than a year)

    Pros

It was a job for which I received a paycheck.

    Cons

I found it to be an extremely toxic environment. Common phrase used was that this was a "churn and burn" culture. I preferred to work in a strong team culture, which is why I decided to move on to another company.

  10. "Run in an almost autocratic manner"

I have been working at Hitachi Consulting full-time

    Pros

    - Friends
    - Located close to Microsoft
    - Some good projects

    Cons

    - Majority of the people take pride in being autocratic leaders
    - It is "their way" or the highway
    - Poor work culture, 'Long hours means you are productive'
    - No travel on most projects

    Advice to Management

Stop giving "power" to a few individuals! They are just misusing it.
Thanks to how they desire to ru(i)n things, it is now a difficult environment, that no one wants to work in, for too long.
They dictate and force their decisions and thoughts, thereby killing creativity.
