    Pros

    Excellent benefits & room for advancement, a very high percentage of field management within Hobart Service came from the inside, either technicians or other administrative positions.

    Cons

    long hours and a top heavy corporate structure.

    Pros

    Overall the company is strong , and well known. Paid training , DM, and Corp. are helpful getting the tools you need to complete jobs safely .

    Cons

    Home life will take a hit. also advancement is slow, along with raises. On call. Also Seems that numbers are the prime focus of the new vision since ITW by out. Forgetting what made them the name. is the mom and pop shops not national accounts.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your techs, Pay is on the lower end for this field.

    Pros

    Great company with reliable longevity. Well established. OK benefits and 401k matching. Diversity of the staff is great. Work well together as a staff to accomplish our goals as a team to be top ranking.

    Cons

    Bad office management- impersonal. belittling. poor integrity. poor recognition. poor moral for the employees across the board; field technicians and office staff... EVERYONE IS REPLACEABLE

    Advice to Management

    Recognize the hard work, dedication and loyalty the staff brings to the company. We take pride what we put in to make the bay area office top ranking.

    Benefits are amazing!! 17 vacation days first year.

    Cons

    They hired four installation technicians in March 2017 they laid off five of us by sept 22 2017. How in the hell does this happen at such a reputable company? Zero stability

    Advice to Management

    You are messing with people’s livelihoods. Guys left good jobs to work at hobart. You hired us and than laid us all off!! Not even a year has passed. We are not cattle

    Flexible schedule to accommodate personal needs
    Pay
    My manager was awesome to work for

    Cons

    Lack of support/communication between branches at the company
    Lack of coordination between billing/sales and install/service
    Hired me into a new position only to eliminate that position 9 months later

    Advice to Management

    Communicate
    Maybe don't hire people for positions the company is just going to cut less than a year into them

    Pros

    Still diverse even with considerable consolidation.

    Cons

    Work the numbers to the determent of the people. Hire from out side, doesn't promote from the ranks. Looks to number crunchers for direction instead of the talent and years of experience form with in. As was indicated in another post looking for millennials and shelf the people who have dedicated a career to the company. I could go on.

    Advice to Management

    You have forgotten the customer (who are people) and forgotten your employees (who are people) and only manage the numbers while both your customers and your employees suffer. No wonder our customers see no value in our service over that of our competitors.

    Pay and benefits are great.

    Cons

    Career advancement opportunities are quite rare. Recent loss of sales has led to reduction in force (layoffs) nationwide.

    Listen to your employees when they are serious about career advancement. Don't let them get away!

    Pros

    management is great, adequate training and support, not competitive, not to demanding on time, O.T if you want it. Company supplies everything you need. good benefits

    Cons

    dispatcher isn't very good, administrative staff not very friendly, ON-Call monthly, pay is a little low for the rates they charge customers, very difficult work because they want you to work on everything and not just one specialty.

    Advice to Management

    monitor performance of office staff, and give them corrective measures and if they don't change the dismiss them as techs are regularly.

    really grueling overtime every 3 to 4 weeks 80 plus hours

    help your employees to exceed instead of constant threat of losing your job unless you outperform other employees
