I worked at Hoehn Motors (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great environment and staff. Leadership cares about its employees.

    Cons

Its hard to think of anything bad. Maybe some better coffee for the employees.

I worked at Hoehn Motors full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

nice facilities (at mercedes benz location). Friendly work place for the most part

    Cons

Stress management, unless you're top of the board, you'll feel like you are going to lose your job if you don't sell more cars next month....

I worked at Hoehn Motors (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good place to get on the job training if you are looking to get in to automotive sales. Management staff is overly busy, so if you thrive independently with no direction, then it will be perfect for you.

    Cons

If you are looking for thorough training, this is not the place for you. No training is in place. It is sink or swim. Sales associates can be petty and management allows them to behave like children.

I have been working at Hoehn Motors full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Started out as a lot porter. Was able to move up to lube tech a little after a year (and constant asking).

    Cons

Management doesn't listen. Equipment isn't properly maintained. They lie to the customers and have made us clean up leaks or mark on inspection sheet that there is no damage, etc on cars so they wouldn't have to deal with warranty. You will constantly be told one thing only to be told something different the next day (or week). Your hours could change constantly.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, actually take the time to look at your managers performance and what people think of them.

I worked at Hoehn Motors full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Close to beach, great schedule, quality cars, nice people, mellow managers, nice offices, few if any kinky sales people, desk and finance are pretty quick, very compliant with the law, great IT department with up to date computers and fast internet.

    Cons

Virtually no advertising, not enough customer parking, no real vision to grow and gain market share,

    Advice to Management

Mr Hoehn, Hire a real GM for the auto group and you'll sell twice the cars and everyone will make twice as much including you. If you do this you'll be able to keep top producing professionals vs green peas and burn outs. GET A GRIP MAN! The car business has evolved.

    Pros

Nice, clean store, nice lounge for customers.

    Cons

High turnover, car business in general terrible. Selling cars has become an awful way to make a living, not fun.

    Advice to Management

Nothing different to separate this store from any in the car business.

    Doesn't Recommend

    Pros

You get to drive the latest cars

    Cons

No body is buying cars, long periods of waiting for even one customer. You only get paid when you sell, and most dates you don't sell a thing the management get edgy with you. Plus when you have customers, you have have the inventory they want. A very small collection of gas guzzling cars.

    Advice to Management

To light up, and be more fair... give more extra incentive moneies. Hey go take a look at what things cost, and stop giving up 10 and 15 dollar spiffs... thats BS.

I have been working at Hoehn Motors full-time

    Pros

consistent environment, Good pay for positions, good communication at the lower employees, Employs a company Chaplin for personal services, involved in the immediate community

    Cons

Extreme disconnect between upper level management and employees, depending on store environments and employee manager relationships can very between hostile and excellent.

    Advice to Management

Upper management could be more transparent and try to "spin" everything.
