    Pros

    My advisers gave me great training in research and writing. A self-starter doing self-directed research is the ideal candidate for this position.

    Cons

    Funding is limited, so research projects rely on the ability of graduate students to conduct their research on a low budget.

    Advice to Management

    I am very happy with management, I feel both supported and allowed to grow and succeed on my own. I love it here!

    Pros

    Very friendly environment with amicable staff. Responsibilities are a bit much but he experience you get out of it is phenomenal. Perfect leadership experience!

    Cons

    Very big time commitment. Energy levels must also be up constantly. You must be willing to work hard and put in 110%

    The campus is vibrant in the spring and summer with countless cross departmental integrations. There is good room for growth personally and institutionally.

    Cons

    Hofstra is on a path for greatness, but needs to increase its attention to tech and its growing important in today's world.
    Like every university, bureaucracy exists here with no sign of weakening.

    I worked at Hofstra University part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    The job is resident safety presentative, which is a easy job. The compensation is minimal wages that is $7.5 per hours. The working time is flexible and you can choose what time you want if the time is available. The supervisors are nice and willing to help if you have some difficulties.

    Cons

    May have to work in the midnight and early in the morning. And some students are rude and may not respect you making the work hard sometimes. The salary is a little bit low and some hardwares need to be updated and fixed.
