I worked at Hollister Co. part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great co-workers with similar interest and age group. Friendly environment. Employee discounts on new arrivals. Flexible hours to fit to your daily schedule and call-in oppurtunities.

    Cons

Minimum wage job that requires more work that what the money is worth. Should be paying $10-15/hr because of work load. Also, the company requires you to buy new clothing each season.

    Advice to Management

Increase Pay or decrease workload. The amount of hours the employees spend does not positively correlate to the amount of pay received. Also the number of hours per week is low and should be 15-20 per employee.

I worked at Hollister Co. part-time

    Pros

Friendly staff, cute clothes, good music

    Cons

Managers won't let you know if you do something wrong, they just stop giving you hours until you quit.
You have to figure out what to do as managers aren't helpful, and won't lead you through your duties

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring so many people for the same positions as this doesn't allow people to get the hours they want. Also, tell employees when they are doing something wrong so they can correct their behavior.

I worked at Hollister Co. part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Flexible hours and always hiring

    Cons

Managers would change every time I came back for the seasons inbetween school. They're always hiring but that leaves little hours to distribute. Some weeks I worked 39 hours in two weeks, and other weeks I worked 6 hours total in two weeks

    Advice to Management

Consistency. Always hiring, so there's not many hours available.

I worked at Hollister Co. part-time

    Pros

Fun coworkers. Easy interview/hiring process for retail newcomers.

    Cons

Often we were forced to stay 6+ hours overtime for inventory days. Passive aggressive/rude management. No raises, bonuses, or incentives to remain with the company.

    Advice to Management

Learn that people have lives and holding people inside a store until 4 AM is not appropriate under any circumstance.

    Pros

    50% store discount each season.

    Cons

There were often scheduling conflicts, people not showing up for shifts, poor store cleanliness, and little to no training with high expectations for how store operations should be carried out. Not to mention the clique like atmosphere, and constant judgment of others.

I worked at Hollister Co. part-time

    Pros

The discount is nice I guess.

    Cons

No hours given. You will work one day out the week if you're a PERSON OF COLOR

    Advice to Management

Don't hire POC just to have diversity. It took me two interviews to finally get fired. Once hired I only had one day on the schedule. Every week. I know it's part time but I rather not have a job then. At work I would always get hollered at and belittled. It got so bad to the point I had to quit. The Caucasian girl that worked near me constantly made mistakes. But no one hollered at her. I don't recommend this job to anyone that's a person of color. I was working in the water tower.

    Cons

    Advice to Management

appreciate your full time employees more.
