I have been working at Hollister Incorporated full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Dedicated to the company mission, led by the most ethical and servant leaders I have ever worked with. As the company has grown from it's humble roots, the business climate has become exceedingly complex, management has responded by recruiting very talented associates and by developing a very well thought out strategic plan. The company continues to achieve plan year over year and is debt free with a bright future.

    Cons

The business environment is getting tough. Growth and profitability targets are getting more difficult to achieve. Management is still relatively conservative.

    Advice to Management

You are on the right path. Increase your focus on making the changes that are required to be an employer of choice for the current and next generation. You know what you need to do. Accelerate.

    Pros

The retirement and the shares are the best part of Hollister Inc.

    Cons

The 12 hrs shifts are hard on the body . The speed of most of the machine is ridiculous. Management needs to listen to the employees more.

    Advice to Management

Follow the rules and treat the employees all the same.

I have been working at Hollister Incorporated full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Canteen menu is progressive. Impressive foyer and great artwork
Car park is great if you are manager as you get to park undercover. Me? I carry a snow shovel

    Cons

Hollister Inc is a relic from the past, held back by a management ( emphasis NOT leadership) that is fixated on control. True leaders have been shafted and exited by the threatened CEO (this guy is a basket case who rules by tyranny and sycophants embedded in the global organisation .). The true casualties are young and eager new recruits who are burned and damaged by their experience. Please HR, don't insult us by responding with one of your CEO endorsed soft and fuzzy responses. You are part of the problem.
The current Board stands condemned by silently condoning such an environment.

    Advice to Management

Stand up and take a stand. The CEO and his small band of cronies are school yard bullies who have ruined your company for their personal gain.

I worked at Hollister Incorporated full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great intentions to do the right thing by the patient and customers. Good group of people generally speaking. Dedicated.
There is a positive vibe most of the time.

    Cons

There is a prevailing leadership that drives the business with their own intentions and there is also a view that if you're not part of the 'group' then you will be forced out and go no where. The systems in place to manage the business globally are poor. Training is almost non-existent. All learn as you go and make the mistakes. V Poor work/life balance.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the staff. Get serious about training and put people in place to deliver. See if you can make the values real, rather than just words. Know that the managers/leaders you have in place are strong influencers to the entire company. Some of the current managers are not good.

    Pros

The Team was great to work with . Good contract presence with key IDNs . Products excellent. Good benefit packages

    Cons

Company attitude towards employees changed. Your past track record didn't matter. Long term relationships didn't matter. The natural cycle of a down year was unacceptable

I have been working at Hollister Incorporated full-time

    Pros

The majority of the associates are wonderful people

    Cons

    1) Risk averse in every way - so much so that it inhibits what the company is able to accomplish
    2) Tough to leave the company because they pay well
    3) Shove the culture down your throat - but there's no real execution. All talk
    4) Internal processes need some serious help - also prohibitive to get anything accomplished

    Advice to Management

Trust your people and get some young folks into the senior management pool

    Pros

Didnt feel it was a good company! People were bleek. The place is run by unexperinced staff. They are rushing yo put people in postions to cover the staff that had enough and left.

    Cons

No professional development. Very dim outlook for employees. This company needs work. Unfortunate that this company lost its CORE values and morales.

    Advice to Management

Look for people with experience and expertise. Dont hire because they are friendly and nice...stay with professional services.
