I worked at Hollister Staffing part-time

    Pros

Phenomenal work culture; people are supportive, friendly, and act like family. CEO is an inspiring and hard-working female who believes in mindfulness and other important life values. There is definitely room for growth and all employees are able to learn about other roles within the company. If you work hard here, you can succeed. Great perks too!

    Cons

None that I experienced during my time here.

I have been working at Hollister Staffing full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I was able to get an interview right away as well as a secondary interview at a company that I have been with for the last year and a half. I decided to go the temp route due to the fact that I am a graduate student and needed to be flexible regarding hours. I have found a company (company that I was placed at, not Hollister) that values me and my work.

    Cons

Once I got placed, there was consistent phone calls to my personal phone while I was working, naturally I ignored all the phone calls since it would not have been professional to answer them. Over the last year and a half I saw the reps come into the company with gifts for my manager, without even a glance in my direction. It can be very strange to feel like a pawn in the relationship between Hollister and the company. Whenever I have had issues, Hollister made me feel like I was a burden to them. Overall experience was very negative and demeaning.

    Advice to Management

Value your temps more. Stop trying to correspond via cellphone during the business hours, it is not very professional, email instead.

I'm sorry to hear about your less-than-positive temping experience with Hollister. We have no intention of making you feel like a burden or anything less than a person of value, as our company’s... More

    Pros

    Plenty of support
    Excellent group of people
You're in control of how much you make $$
Kip the CEO is very inspiring
    Weekly guided meditation sessions
    Managers are very accessible

    Cons

The Recruiting industry as a whole has negative attributes, but nothing specifically with Hollister Staffing. It is a great place to work. A 401k match would be nice but I guess it's not an issue if you're a top biller.

    Advice to Management

    "The worst to work with"

    StarStarStarStarStar

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

Very friendly the first time you get there. They make you feel like you are coming out with a job offer.

    Cons

Unprofessional. I had really high hopes on this staffing company. They were really nice when i met them and they actually had a job for me. Well that was that. No follow up no nothing. It took me a few emails to get a simple No. then i kept following up with them to get bluntly ignored. The least these so called recruiting managers can do is to keep in touch with job seekers even though there might not be anything going on. Very dissatisfied.
