    Pros

New President seems to be moving the company in the right direction.

    Cons

The Admin/HR and Accounting department is a mess. Poorly managed by new management who does not listen to employees, extremely underpays, and the work/schedule is unpredictable - you generally work based on management's timeline without notice. There is ton of overtime required due to amount of work needed to be done and being understaffed which is by choice of management. Claims work/life balance, all false. All heads down and bad work environment. Unless you ask for a much higher pay to match required amount of work/OT I do not recommend working here.

    Advice to Management

Improve the Cons; listen to employees.

Jul 14, 2016 – Vice President Sales and Marketing

It is certainly our goal for everyone to have a proper work/life balance. 2016 was very much a transition year for Holman in a number of ways, including our Accounting/Finance/HR teams. We made a... More

    Pros

It's a job, not much of a job, but it's a job!! It's a 20 word minumum, but I can't think of any other pros to it other than it just being a job!!!

    Cons

There's no incentives, lots of favortism n double standards. No chance for advancement unless you're fishing buddies with management. Very unsafe, you point out safety infractions and management just laughs!! There's a warehouse full of hard workers that have given a lot of their spare time to help the company and do a great job, but go unnoticed while the office help has done very little and gets all the recognition!! The pay scale is corrupt and not paid accordingly!! The moral is so low due to lack of management that people are giving up and not caring about quality or productivity! There's such a huge turnover rate they can't get people in the door as fast as they're leaving, therefore having to work tons of overtime to make up for it!! I can't even put a rating on this cause I wouldn't feel good giving them one star!! Ok, so it wouldn't let me submit it without giving it a star so there it is! I give it one star!!

    Advice to Management

Get a clue!! You take care of your people, your people will take care of you!! Step down and let someone that knows what they're doing take the wheel!!!

I worked at Holman Distribution Center full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    easy job that is it

    Cons

you can be the best worker they have or have all the skills you are not getting pay for them or get promoted the only people to get a promotions are the operation manager friends or these with the same tendencies as him this people don't have any skills but what do you expect the operation manager don't have any warehouse skill either but what make it worst is the general manager knows about what is going on but he rather look the other way

    Advice to Management

stop using your position to help and promote your friend and people with the same tendencies as you and really do your job like you are supposed to be fare when it comes to promotions show the care for employees

I worked at Holman Distribution Center full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There is always something to do in a warehouse to keep you busy, Enjoyed my co-workers, Thankful to have a job in this economy.

    Cons

You work your butt off to get hired thru a temp agency, No sick days, Poor managment, Lack of communication in and out of the office and warehouse, favortism, Double standards, No follow thru on establishing S.O.P. Standard Operating Procedures, It's sad when you know and care more than your salary paid supervisors that leave during working hours to get their hair cut.

    Advice to Management

Hire someone with experience, that would be able to direct and lead the employees in a positive direction, instead of flying by the seat of his pants.
