    Pros

Great team to work with 95+% of the time.

    Cons

One person has the correct answers, Access to answers not always available.

    Advice to Management

Lead by example. If you don’t know how to do your job, ask until you do. It’s not a social event first, it’s a patient’s quality of care and a job well done first. Or should be.. Continue outsourcing for home health specific chart training. Please consider realistic home health background experience as mandatory before accepting that employee for a director position. Great people aren’t automatically great directors, mainly bc if they’re lost most of the time how they going to direct the right way? It’s a lot to learn. Learn, then direct. Winging it is great if successful, as long as patient care quality remains intact. Quality can’t be compromised. Period.

I have been working at Holy Cross Health full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

This is the only place I would wish to be treated if needed. The healthcare is very good. Benefits are good.

    Cons

SALARY. Management piles on the work, with no financial increase in sight.

    Advice to Management

"Good people don't leave good jobs, they leave incompetent directors/managers" Upper Management-Pay attention to that, and properly compensate your workforce with salary increases, not compliments & empty promises and ice cream.

    Pros

Benefits are great and that’s pretty much it.

    Cons

    Schedules aren’t flexible
HR can be a little unprofessional
Management cares more about other stuff rather than their own employees

    Advice to Management

They should focus more in colleagues and retaining the good ones.

I worked at Holy Cross Health full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Culture, bonuses for mgt team, patient population, meeting community health needs

    Cons

No room to grow, low pay, work life balance non existent, conservative organization meaning not willing to take on risk and buy practices which really reduces our reach in Montgomery County

    Advice to Management

Take a closer look at what divisions are doing. Actually treat employees equitable, the health network shouldn’t be an afterthought.

I have been working at Holy Cross Health full-time

    Pros

The benefits are cheap. I am talking about your health care premiums. Holy Cross actually foots a majority of the costs for coverage. Working at a place that offers A LOT of heath services to the uninsured. I am proud to be apart of a mission that seeks to increase health care access and improve health outcomes.

    Cons

VERY low pay compared to over hospitals in the area. NO merit-based salary increases. You get the same pay increase or bonuses as the other mediocre and sub-par employees. High-level leadership is TOO INVOLVED in the day-to-day operations, including things like time cards and running staff meetings instead of having the manager do it. HR doesn’t respond to transfer bids. It’s as if they don’t want to promote from within but they’d rather hire an outsider to come in. I can do on, but I’m tired of typing.

    Advice to Management

Listen, support, and advocate for your staff!!
