    Pros

You can make awesome money as long as you don't mind working ridiculous hours go to be on the road most the day build some muscle

    Cons

Home City Ice doesn't care again all about the bottom dollar they will sell somebody a bag of ice that has been sitting in a truck did the refrigeration unit wasn't working all day with no problem and no concerns. Air bagging rooms are disgusting they barely passed Health inspections most time I don't they run their drivers way past the dot guidelines. Family life does not concern them thank you care less whether you have kids and they make promises that they never keep.

    Advice to Management

Find a new job the U connection Android just because you ran ice for six years and we're Superman with it doesn't mean that everybody is as good as you

    Pros

The nature of the job gives you a lot of freedom/responsibility. You will learn how to navigate a great deal. This is a large corporation, they have liability insurance.

    Cons

You work about 12hrs a day, generally 6 days a week. You work in the summer heat.
The company doesn't keep all the trucks in ideal shape, just decent enough to be on the road. There aren't any security measure to keep you from carrying cash, you have to get money orders on your own. The customers can be very difficult, and traffic can be frustrating.
It sales oriented, but sales often depends on the market and the base rate of pay is $8/hr.

I have been working at Home City Ice full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good as a college student needing money throughout the summer season and a little bit of work during the winter. Great because you are on your own throughout the day, no one breathing down your neck. Management knows you are a student so there is good flexibility. Management and business development jobs are offered after you graduate if you do a good job. Good way to get into shape.

    Cons

This may or may not be a con depending on who you are, but you have to be motivated to do well. You aren't selling anything, but you do have to get out there and hustle to make the premium pay advertised. The work is physically demanding but doable. I could see this being a bad thing for someone looking for an cake/ average pay job.

    Advice to Management

Seems like anyone who didn't like the job maybe doesn't know that you have to work hard to make the premium pay. Make sure people coming on board know what to expect.

    Pros

It's a good workout everyday, and you really get to know the city you work in if you didn't already. Management is pretty good and will work with you and your school schedule.

    Cons

You get paid an hourly (low) base, and its commission if you go over that. Long hours, and they aren't shy about asking you to work every day you can. Work load can be intense at times. Not very many opportunities for career growth. No benefits.

    Advice to Management

Either a base hourly wage that is in the $13-$15/hr range or an all commission package that could earn potentially more than $15/hr would've kept me and other drivers around more consistently that could handle the work load.

Good pay if you hustle. Commission.

    Advice to Management

Need benefits. Train all drivers to at least carry a Class B license.

    Pros

Great place to work if your a college student who needs a good summer job that needs no commitment after you leave for school.

    Cons

Flexible with days to work, but the days you do work you could put in 15 hours and not get paid much more than if you would h.ave worked 8 hours. The comission on what you sell and deliver are not what they should be with certain routes

    Advice to Management

Try to give your better drivers better routes and help them out when they work as hard as they do for you.

    Advice to Management

Nothing really, keep up the good work. always nice and understanding. dont seem too much of a boss, more like a friend.
